Also, Silver, you can try Open Canvas. I prefer the old version of Open Canvas, 1.1. It's completely free, does layers, and works wonderfully with a pressure-sensitive tablet; I do most of my art on Open Canvas instead of Photoshop :P And I believe OC 1 is the version you can share your network, so...
