Wildstar MMORPG (free guest passes)
So, I'm taken the plunge into another MMO. I haven't played WoW in years, but Wildstar was too bright, colorful, and charming for me to resist. I haven't progressed far enough in the game to give a decent review, but it's okay so far. The questing system is fairly typical, and the combat isn't spect...

Re: RL Achievements and ToW
I'm not quite sure what this qualifies as other than mildly amusing. I've pretty much been sinking my time into Team Fortress 2 on Steam, and I've even gotten up the nerve to use voice chat. Aside from the random people commenting that I sound either "omg so gay" or like a preteen boy or b...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe
Your post reminded me to check my dashboard. I received my sixth and seventh year prizes. My name has changed from FeralKoala to Huggles(shock, horror), and I have a GA account again. I felt that if I used it for my pets, I'd never have a reason to poke around the site.

Re: Mutant Poogle
Somehow, I'm reminded of both Deathwing from WoW and Nicodemus from The Secret of Nimh. I really like this.
Also, Hi.
Also, Hi.

You know, I never fully realized just how much fire there would be involved in her design until now, and it looks fabulous! I think it's the chubbiness of the incendo that make it so adorable.

Re: A New Battling Era Awaits...
It's all shiny and new style, but the substance doesn't seem to have changed at all. You still have 8 weapons, 2 per turn, and it's still point-click-wait. Even if the animation is done with html5, I can't imagine it being faster than the old system when fighting a single opponent hundreds of times ...

I already have it on Steam, but I was able to get it for my netbook that cannot run steam. Woo.

Oooh. I like your garden. We used to have one growing up, that my dad tended. I once grew a single corn plant for science(!), but other than that I tend to kill things off from forgetfulness.

Re: Madge's Super Housebuying Thread
I make about $7.75/hour. Whatever the federal minimum wage currently is. I may have worked fewer hours because of school, but no less than 20/wk. I do my own taxes and last year it was just shy of 9k. As Wings mentioned, my insurance is deducted from my pay, and I also pay taxes and Social Security....

Re: Madge's Super Housebuying Thread
Dammit. I wrote words and then went to move them to this thread and my clipboard was only filled with "Die Antwoord". Anyway, In brief, even in a small Ohio farming town I couldn't afford to rent an apartment and live on my own. I worked about 30 hours a week last year and made around $900...

Re: RL Achievements and ToW
MOVE TO 'MURICA! Actually, when I first moved from Ohio to Illinois, my mom was livid at our realtor because she keep showing houses that were $100,000. Three bedrooms, 2 baths, and my mom thought the prices were outrageous. There's an old church here made of brick with stained glass windows, that h...

Re: Nightmare Mallarchy and Velosotor
I am the terror that flaps in the night, I am the ten dollar service charge on all returned checks.
Initially, I couldn't tell what pose the velosotor was in, but the more I look the more I believe that it is in the quintessential "rub my tummy" pose. I don't find it at all scary.

Re: RL Achievements and ToW
I am envious of your house and your country. I follow quite a few design blogs and you folks seem to have the most amazing cottage-modern houses. I mean, they rarely list the price because they are exorbitant to someone like me who debates whether or not I really need to buy that muffin or $3 coffee...
