Re: Weapons/ Battling questions
Yeah, I'd read that -- that stealing isn't actually that useful against one-player opponents. Do the blessings that prevent stealing also prevent blasting? The useless weapons clearly will effect blasting. Once when I was fighting FeliBot it looked like I managed to blast an item that was OPB and ha...

Re: Weapons/ Battling questions
As far as I can tell, there aren't actually very many Tier 6 weapons that are better than the Azathoth set. They're just that good. I'm hardly an expert, though! :-) In other news, I tried out Daemon (100% water blocker) on Jacques and -- nah, he still kicked my butt. Maybe if I used a bunch of Dark...

Re: Weapons/ Battling questions
Strategy? You mean besides "Freeze + Recycle Blaster, Best Weapon + Bomb (although it's kind of a sucky bomb), Beat on opponent, healing when necessary, until one or both of us is dead?" Yeah, I can see how that might help. ;-) I did surprise myself by beating FeliBot once tonight -- altho...

Weapons/ Battling questions
So, I have a couple of weapons questions. One, I need to figure out how to spend my Reading Drive points. Subeta forum consensus seems to be that after you have the Reviver of the Lion, the Soma Tablets are the best thing to get (even though Truth Serum is prettier!) However, is that still true even...

Re: Human avatars
Seerow: I love that owl avatar! The wings are great, I like the way they take the place of arms the way wings actually do, although it would be hard to get dressed that way. :-) Re: CW. Yeah, I was expecting a lot more activity in the CW Shop than has actually happened. It's so much easier for both ...

Re: Reading Drive 2013
There was an idea floating around on the Subeta forums somewhere that they could make an item drive that would raise money for the Library or whatever so that way the prizes could still be book themed. I think that is an awesome idea and hope it gets implemented. The best part of the reading drive ...

Re: Reading Drive 2013
I have 613 points and think I'm pretty pleased with that. I actually hope this isn't the last Reading Drive (and certainly that this isn't the last time we'll get a shot at the Reading Drive prizes!) I'm actually not bowled over by the new wearables but I think I'll find plenty of other stuff to buy...

Re: Reading Drive 2013
Prize shop is live. Most of the stuff, except the weapons, appears to be half previous years' prices. (The weapons are closer to full price.)
Nice to see Tamara Pierce, Diane Duane, and Anne McCaffery get some attention this time 'round.

It's running fine now and hasn't been reset as of this posting, if anyone's still on.

Yeah, I'm grateful that when I was finishing up this morning it was just slow, but not going down every other page.

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe
I went ahead and activated a 1 Week GA for the Reading Drive for the Autopricer and the extra Library Quests, which meant now I have access to two free pet slots. So I went ahead and made a pet I've been wanting for a while: http://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=3130420 While I was thinking about pets...

Re: Reading Drive 2013
Well, I have 385 points between books, library quests, and the scavenger hunts and I may be done -- I think I've turned in all the books below about 250k. I may check again later tonight.
Like wading through a sea of molasses to finish everything this morning, too.

Re: Reading Drive 2013
Tomorrow is the last day, right?
What I wish is that you could still view the books you haven't read sorted by user price low to high on SL. Or rather, you CAN do that, I wish it worked.

Re: Reading Drive 2013
I also have something to ask our resident zombies... I posted a ways upthread about how I accidentally priced some books at "1" instead of removing "1" from my shop? Well, I did it again... except this time someone bought up a bunch of my books at 1 sP. :-( Ironically, they were ...

Re: Reading Drive 2013
I got the impression that the prices of items are going to be lowered to reflect the fact that it's no longer possible to get as many points as it was before. At least, I'm sure hoping that's the case! Oh, that's good to hear. If I can turn in 200 books and continue to do well on the quests, I'll p...
