And a big round of applause for Jazzy!

After only 18 hours of downtime, the entire site is back up and functional! That's impressive, in my book.

There may be a few brief moments of downtime whilst a few tweaks are made to the forum, but we're basically up and running on the new hosts now.

a university somewhere spent thousands researching that, they came to the conclusion that it land buttered side up 50% of the time and buttered side down the other 50% of the time. And yet I couldn't get funding for some new Lego Robotics sets for my Masters degree. Where's the justice? Oh, um, ach...

You know, if we're going down the IRC chatroom route (Which is what you've got there Jazzy, just in a Java applet - I think it would be better to have one with a more related channel name / maybe on the neocolours domain, so people can use better IRC clients and not be forced through the java applet...

Further to what I've already poked you about, /subeta/subetaspecies.php and /subeta/subetacolours.php have inconsistent alignment for the selection box... (and species doesn't have that ball thing). One day I'll stop nitpicking, I promise ;)

Hey, I'm all in favour of Jozzy's changes. Subeta is the future: an early move to support them now will guarantee us support and popularity, making us the number one Subeta fansite - won't that be fantastic? I think it would be foolish to pander to Neopets and chain ourselves to the past. I think he...

I've said it privately, and I'll say it publicly now I can, too: Jazzy, you are an angel. Your dedication to Neocolours is phenomenal, and certainly appreciated. Also, to the others who helped in restoring the forum, thank you too. I know a lot of hard work was put in over the last couple of days. I...

I'd play that - I shouldn't really be playing a full blown WW right now (projects and final year and Masters degree and argh), but this sounds ideal. Sign me up!

I've never had a problem with electronics - ipod, phone, GPS, batteries, hard disks (I wouldn't count on getting a floppy through intact though). The amount of electronic gizmos people take on planes these days is so huge, even if the machines fried 1 piece in every 10,000 there'd be warnings posted...

<Geek> From a technical viewpoint, here's some facts and my opinion: GIF and PNG are lossless compression (the image you save is not altered in any way). The reason GIF messes with the colours is that you're only allowed 256 colours in the palette for the entire image, and most programs have lousy a...
