Re: Neocolours hosting donations thread 2010!

Guys (of any gender) We've had a massive response from the community so far, and for that I'm really, really grateful - I'm really happy that there are so many of you who can and do donate some money towards keeping the community going. However, at some point this fundraising drive needs to be offic...

Re: Neocolours hosting donations thread 2010!

Aren't domain names, like, $2 each or something ridiculous? Or are most of them parked? the .uk domains are now £3/year (billed in 2-year increments). The .eu is more expensive, I think last time it was about £10/year (renewed annually). So, wait, where are we supposed to send a message to you befo...

Re: Neocolours hosting donations thread 2010!

I'll throw in 2 hour's pay (AU$50) - this forum's been so nice to me and I feel quite guilty for missing out last year :) Thank you! Hopefully the currency conversion isn't a pain for you! For some reason Paypal didn't stick fees on converting your donation (woo!), so we only lost 70pence from the ...

Re: RL Achievements and ToW

I have a sort of Corolla! *high five?* I bought an '07 Auris , which in Europe replaced the old Corolla, and is the 'new' Corolla in Australia/New Zealand. Bonus fact: European Auriss... Auri... plural of Auris! are manufactured about 20 miles from where I used to live (home with parents, etc.) So I...

Re: Neocolours hosting donations thread 2010!

Joey,

Edited the original post - the funding drive will run until the current funds run out as a minimum, so you've got over 6 weeks, don't worry!

Re: Neocolours hosting donations thread 2010!

To get the ball rolling, I should put up my pledge first: As well as assisting Jazzy with the techytechy when needed (DNS and hosting and Linux crazyness), I also pay for the plethora of neocolours domains that now point to our site (I'm trying to get the old .co.uk seeing how Sam appears to not be ...

Neocolours hosting donations thread 2010 - Now finished!

Hi Neocolours, Once again, 'tis time for me to come begging to you all... Since September 2007, Neocolours has been entirely funded by donations from you guys - the people who have helped to keep the site going can be found here (or linked at the bottom of every page!). Since then the site has had m...

Re: RL Achievements and ToW

Achievement: I'm snowed in and can't get to work!

(ok, ok, it would probably be physically possible. But I like my car unmodified, and my body even more so)

Re: So... what'd you get?

I think it's a sign of getting old when you not only get given slippers for Christmas (I did), but you also really appreciate them (I did too). I also received a lady in a box, aka TomTom (this was half for my birthday too though), pyjamas (in a box! I've never had pyjamas in a *box*), a pocket watc...

Re: RL Achievements and ToW

Ha, it's only one or two below here (on the Celcius scale only!) and I saw 3 near misses in 2 miles of driving - apparently our county council don't beleive in grit or salt, and apart from the main road everything else is sheet ice that melted a little yesterday, then re-froze overnight. Skating rin...

Re: RL Achievements and ToW

We've got a light dusting over here on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border which looks really pretty but is no good for anything else, alas no more predicted. Odds on a White Christmas?

Re: Computer specs help?

That looks like a very good spec to me, and the price seems fair for it too (I ordered a Phenom II 965 and ATI 5750 at work for a new build earlier this week). Enermax have been making power supplies since the dawn of time, so that will be rock solid. That graphics card is a good call, it's brand ne...
