Re: New Features/Updates
I can no longer use a single piece from my standard battle set. Awesome??? The defense of "any other game you play has level requirements for weapons!" does not fly with me: in any other game I can get to max level in weeks or months and max rank here takes many years. I've been training f...

Re: New Features/Updates
Opera doesn't use a browser code; it just wants "box-shadow" and "column-count", no prefix. Does that fix your problem? And... yeah, I'm getting SQL vomit everywhere too. (Most of it is transitory, but... Would you believe that you can go back 10 pages on a 6-page forum thread? A...

Re: New Features/Updates
Sheesh. Okay, I approve of doing away with the options page, though a) why on the pets page instead of the inventory page, where it is genuinely and sorely needed, and b) oh my god, screw dropdowns, but if you are going to make a dropdown, make an actual dropdown, there are native elements for that...

Re: New Features/Updates
Yeah, NoScript will let you pick and choose. Just hover over the little button at the right of the add-on bar and the options will pop up. If you don't want NoScript to change anything else about your browser, you can click "Allow Scripts Globally" and then "Mark typekit.com as Untrus...

Re: New Features/Updates
Dumb, dumb, dumb. I don't believe there's been a design change in months or years I didn't slash away at with CustomCSS—I'm not sure I want to know what the site looks like for other people. Slugawoo's right; it smacks of creeping featurism. I killed the "currently happening" boxes pretty ...
Re: Vesnali
It wouldn't take any time at all now! If you'd just let me pick things up faster! I could even carry two pieces of trash, one in each hand! "I appreciate your efforts, but slow it down a bit!" ...why?!?! I know that the OOC reason is to let everyone have a chance at this [...] More cynica...

Re: Tigrean Revamp
(Late post is late, sorry.) It seems like this thread has turned into a sort of art-vs-character discussion. Which makes sense, really, because that (and the way Subeta has responded to reactions to revamps on that count) are a serious thing. But it surprised me a bit when I went through the thread,...

Re: US Internet Censorship (warning: activism)
Ah so the fact that this website is hosted in Brittain, under a different law doesn't make a difference at all? Companies in the US would try to impose their laws on websites and people from outside the US, who haven't even been near the US and who do nothing wrong according to the laws of their co...

Called my senators today. Result: phone robots. Anyway, americancensorship.org has put up a form that'll automatically connect you, if you haven't called and want to but are as effort-shy as I. Such nice people.

US Internet Censorship (warning: activism)
This week on Things That Are Terrible: Ten days ago, American Congressional hearings on a pair of bills called PIPA (the Senate's Protect Intellectual Property Act) and SOPA (the House's Stop Online Piracy Act) began. The bills would allow copyright holders to force search engines, payment processor...

Re: Possible Fester Redesign
Things I like: The new color scheme is great. (I won't lie, I loved the stupid green mohawk, but this is very cool, in both senses of the word.) I can see the secretary bird influence, and it's delightful. The head and neck are really nice: the volume of the ruff and the sense of movement around the...
