The Archan and the Montre look like they've just rolled off each other. The Montre just asked "Was it good for you, too?" while the Archan is about to light up a post coital cigarette. *falls over laughing* Even if I liked those two galactics, I wouldn't be able to have either of them (or...

The gelatinous non-cube petpet: proof that NCers are not all haters, even after some of us have quit.

The plushie is a little better, though, I think, even though its lines are too thick. I love patchy things.

Is that a mouth, or an upside-down telephone?

It is very cute. I'd be getting one if I still played, for sure. I wish that jelly neopets had items floating in them as well; it's a neat idea, and would make those pets much more interesting.

I see the "apprehension" more as wariness, which I think is really perfect for the pet -- it adds to the "feral big cat" sense of it, and further differentiates it from the more cuddly feli. The toned down fluff is really nice, and the ears look better to me -- the others were to...

I'm going to go see it soon, probably -- I love Pixar. I'm going to bring along my 51 yr old father to see it with me. My family and I, we are very dorky people.

Though it was only three days, over seventy people voted, which is a significant enough number to assume that the outcome wouldn't be changed much by the few more that would be added throughout a longer duration.

I love the blue betta beyond words -- it looks quite similar to my dearly departed Laertes. You did a great job of capturing the betta's attitude. The fur on the cat is absolutely gorgeous, but I was confused by what I guess is the tail -- for the first few beats of looking at it, I was convinced th...

I don't know if you could consider that true copying. Mutants are hardly a copywritable idea -- it isn't as if they don't have actual scientific basis (see: Chernobyl) or a huge history in fiction and movies.

I got really excited when I saw the thread title because I thought it might be an equivalent to neo's mutant -- y'know, nuclearly mutated monster things? With that brief expectation looming above me, this is quite disappointing. I don't care for that colour combination either, nor do I like the acce...

Yep! Looks anti-aliased now. With PS I think that the different options in the drop down menu are just different levels of anti-aliasing, whereas just leaving it at "none" will get you the jaggedness of the first one. Looks really nice now. I like the font a lot -- what is it? I think ther...

I don't usually use photoshop myself, but here's a tutorial that I did for my icon community on livejournal about antialiasing. I believe there's a screenshot that one of the other designers made of photoshop's text options, with the anti-aliasing portion circled. It's probably the most common mista...

They're quite nice; I particularly like the avatar. One suggestion, though, is to make sure you've got anti-aliasing turned on when you use non-pixel fonts. It looks like you probably didn't, which is why the text is very pixelated and difficult to read. Anti-aliasing will make it smoother. The opti...

Well, it's rare, if ever, that we've actually deleted checkers' posts -- I've never done it, though I have threatened at least once. If -- or, possibly, when, if we assume that checkers will be on probation after the expiration of a ban -- probation is implimented, we might consider adding that to o...

Sorry for posting again so soon, but I wanted to ask this. In regards to Jazzy's poll, I think it's important to specify what exactly "probation" means. Because, as far as I'm concerned, checkers has been on a sort of probation, if perhaps unofficially. If the poll swings in that direction...

We don't have the privilege of taking away his dessert when he's bad, all we can do is ban him, and if he already doesn't care about the people here, why should us banning him make any difference? Well, the fact that he has continued to post here even after that first thread about his behaviour ind...
