Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe
Can you earn tokens from battlequests? You can! Battle quests are really worth doing every day, I think. They're a bit tedious, but they're the only quest I do regularly other than Shinwa. Not only do you get the precious exp and potentially some tokens, you get a decent amount of sp (I mean, 8k is...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe
Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate all the help. Griffin, I will definitely take you up on your very generous offer at some point and borrow a few weapons. I like to shop around in real life, and subeta is no different. I think being able to play with a few weapons to see how they fit into my set...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe
I appreciate the tip, but that's sort of my point. I'm reluctant to believe that the only way to truly improve my set is with a trident. It's one of the best weapons on the site, I get that. I just feel like there must be some other options. I'm not interested in becoming a top battler on the site. ...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe
tl;dr battle ranting ahead! Feel free to ignore me if that's not your thing. I'm getting so frustrated with my battle set. I wouldn't mind sinking some money into it, but I'm starting to feel like the amount I'm willing to spend won't actually make a difference. Weapon prices in the higher tiers are...

Re: Sports & Fitness
I am hoping to 'introduce' myself to the proper gym this week. I'm going to go one evening with a friend so I'm not on my own. I think after that I will be confident enough to go in alone. I really shouldn't care but I've got this slight fear of getting in there, not knowing how to work equipment, ...

Re: Sports & Fitness
I know one of my 2013 resolutions should be to finally suck it up and get a gym membership, but I just can't make myself do it. I have an elliptical trainer and a stationary bike at home (as well as a street bike for the summer, but in northern Canada that's like... June to August), and a few small ...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe
Sadly, giving subeta compliments has become a bitter pill for me, but I have to admit I do like the new subq system a lot. I never ever ever restocked there before because I'm terrible at normal restocking, even in shops that don't have crazy amounts of competition. The new system actually gives me ...

Re: Possible big site layout revamp coming
Having your username/sp/csc/active pet info more than once on the same page seems totally unnecessary. Again, so much clutter. Who needs to know which pet is active when you're making a HA? What does that have to do with anything? When I'm making a HA I want to start with a clean slate so I can see ...

Re: Possible big site layout revamp coming
I don't understand Subeta's attraction to clutter. Every time something gets revamped, a bunch of unnecessary stuff gets crammed in and it looks awful. Buttons get bigger, boxes get wider... who wants that? The pets page revamp still stings (leashes? really?). And for the love of god, enough of the ...

Re: Bloodred and Graveyard Halloween Bonanza 2012
I really love the Bhakorus. I made both of them immediately. For once, I actually had a couple empty pet slots sitting around and didn't need to replace or remake an existing pet! My favorite graveyard pets are the ones that don't look pathetically mopey, like the Montre and Paralix and now the Bhak...

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y66/skellingtonbats/156826-9.png For some reason, I never use this mask during the Masquerade, even though it's one of my favorites. I guess it's because so many great new ones come out every year, all my older ones get pushed aside. That and it's a hard shade of te...

Re: Pokemon Generation VI predictions/desires
I think I'm finally sick of the fire/water/grass starters. I don't know how people would react to such a big change, but I think it would be interesting. There are other type trios that have the same system of type advantage/disadvantage against each other. It's worth exploring. I like Ash's Snivy a...

Re: Joey's 2012 Jack-o-Lantern Thread! [now with last Hallow
Every time I see or hear someone reference Malcolm Gladwell's theory of "10,000 hours of practice to become a master" I think of you and your pumpkins. Surely you must be getting pretty close to that mark. You do a phenomenal job every year. The Hogwarts crest is amazing, of course, but so...

Re: Darkmatter Torrey and Fester (revamp)
I think the Fester looks like it just flew into a window and got stuck on the glass. I don't get the pose at all (old or new). It immediately reminded me of the bloodred Irion because they both look like they just took a punch, the poor things. I think the forced perspective of the wings is off, too...

Re: New Experiment, #585
Good grief. At what point can we erect a "Don't feed the trolls" sign and call it a day? Aaaanyway, this experiment reminds me so much of something (in a great way) but I can't for the life of me figure out what. At first I thought maybe it was a combination of Hei Bai from A:TLA and Mr. P...
