Re: EPICon 2013

Hm okay, maybe I misinterpreted. I thought that's why we couldn't see our total score at the moment: because it wasn't representative of the final prize score we're going to get at the end.

Also joining everyone in bug game hatred, of course.

Re: EPICon 2013

From what I can gather, Wings, even though all games are worth the same 'EPICon points' they aren't worth the same prize points. So a game of Subeku should be worth more at the end, I think? Last night, fighting with Cloudflares and down pages, I had to play 9 games of Subeku to register 3 wins. It ...

Re: EPICon 2013

Yeah I'll be interested to see what they do about yesterday. I'd done everything up until then to 100%, so if not being able to do 7 games of Stealth Bomber counts against me I'll be pissed off. I'm expecting an announcement of some kind so am holding off filing a ticket or anything (Foghawk, ticket...

Re: Human avatars

From what I've read, Marah, you can re-enter any number of times before the deadline. So if it'd give you peace of mind, I'd say to submit it again. I still haven't entered anything so can't confirm or deny anything I say. :P

Re: EPICon 2013

I saw that Tom's status over on Subeta yesterday was something like "Stealth Bomber makes time go backwards," and I concur. The truth! I have to say, with the tweaks it has become much better, but the first couple of days were horrible. I still don't find it too fun. I made it to 15 wins ...

Re: New plot: War of the Obelisk

I'm pretty sure The Thieves were the 'popular choice' last time but the Brutes managed to win. It's the first upset I've seen though. I still need... The Sway, The Thieves, The Awakened (was on holiday for theirs) and of course The Seekers. Hoping The Sway takes it this time. I dread having to do my...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe

People recommend investing in health because it's least affected by diminishing returns, and a pet with higher health can typically take on stronger opponents sooner. Your % heals increase in effectiveness linearly when you boost health, up to 7500HP, whereas all other stats become less useful with ...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe

I just wanted to say that I don't think there's anything wrong with training evenly! I trained evenly up until ~2100s as I wanted to reach tier 11 as quickly as possible... and then just stuck to the routine as it's the most 'cost effective' way of doing things. Some people train evenly beyond that,...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe

Shinwa is probably the quest most worth your time. She takes about 5 minutes to finish a day . 30 battle quests probably take me about 20 minutes a day if I try and focus on them (depends on the challengers, usually get distracted) but are so, so worth it. Some days I really have to force myself, bu...

Re: Achievements and Tales of Woe

As someone who has never autotrained his pet and doesn't use boosters, I think I've done pretty well to move Algebra from a tier 7, at the beginning of tiering, up to a growing tier 11. I just train whenever I can (since my smartphone has been stolen, this is a little harder!) and try to do all my b...

Re: New plot: War of the Obelisk

I have numerous complaints. :P Firstly, the Sway avatar makes me sigh. I don't understand why being on the winning side means you get an extra avatar. As a collector, this has definitely annoyed me. Secondly, there's a total lack of transparency over why the Sway won. Honestly, I didn't think they'd...

It is horrendous. I, like everyone else, am calling it Mewthree for the time being.

Re: New plot: War of the Obelisk

I'm pretty sceptical to the idea that there is much more to come, just because there is absolutely no momentum. Any anticipation has been turned into boredom. To make something feel more than tacked on would have required a decent, continuous narrative. Though I guess I was disappointed early on and...

Re: New plot: War of the Obelisk

I'm struggling a little (probably what I deserve for neglecting my lab ray for years and years) with this wave. I can beat the Cunning Mastermind pretty easily on Brutal though. He doesn't have Lens Flare/Throw Pillows like the others and also doesn't have a 100% freezer. Makes the battle much smoot...

Re: *HINT HINT* New Plot?

If anyone else here is like me - wants to follow the plot but spends barely any time on Neo... and a lot more time on Subeta, there's a ping group and board located here which are going to be pinged any time there's a new step. I'm prone to forgetting to check the site and figured there'd be a few o...
