Do you own a recently released pet?

Post by Jazzy » 10 Nov 2009 01:18 pm

In order to display pets in our database, we need to find the URLs for them. With the males, this is easy, because they all end up at the Rainbow Pool, but the females have to be found manually.

So! If you own a recently released pet and it is female (either normally female or temporarily changed to be female by the Lab Scientist BD challenger), we'd be grateful if you would add the 8-letter code for it to the database. You can see a list of pets we need here:
http://www.neocolours.me.uk/neededpets.php
The page of recently released pets also says whether a URL is needed for a particular pet:
http://www.neocolours.me.uk/newcolours.php?sort=date
You can also view an individual pet's colour lookup and it will say if a URL is needed, for example here:
http://www.neocolours.me.uk/viewpet.php ... l&pose=all
Clicking on the link to add a URL takes you to a page where you can input the code, such as this one for the male Royalgirl Skeith:
http://www.neocolours.me.uk/customisati ... irl&g=male

To get the code, make sure the pet has all of its original accessories and no extras (trinkets, background, etc), go to your userlookup, right-click on the pet to get the URL of the image, and the code will be the 8-letter string in the middle. For example, here's my userlookup:
http://www.neopets.com/userlookup.phtml ... ssexweirdo
This is the URL of my plushie ixi:
http://pets.neopets.com/cp/qqb4ck96/1/2.png
And the 8-letter code is therefore qqb4ck96.

Thank you all for helping us keep our pet displays up to date! Feel free to post here if there are any problems; you can also do so if you see a pet has been added to the database incorrectly and is missing clothes, or has extra ones.

We have a female desert flotsam now - sorry for not replying to this sooner, I've been rather busy! You can see here if we need a pet:
http://neocolours.me.uk/newcolours.php?sort=date
Or, you can look at the individual colour pages:
http://www.neocolours.me.uk/viewpet.php ... happy+male
The old page has been moved to an admin area because it's been superseded by these.

Well that explains that then! I was wondering where exactly it'd come from, because I didn't remember submitting it :)

Currently my lab pet is a female pastel kougra, so I added her to the images. If she turns into anything else we need, I'll be sure to add it.

Also, I know you're busy, but the pastel hissi has the male code for the female forms. I'm not sure how to fix that.

Fixed, thank you! (That is indeed something you wouldn't have been able to fix yourself because of the thing that stops people adding a duplicate code.)

I own a female swamp gas kacheek but that hasn't been added to the database at all :) As soon as I can I will gladly submit her image!

Edit: Might as well post her code here... lrcmkfz2

I added her but the image on the front page needs edited. Is Swamp Gas all one word?

Also, are there any that need added to the basic area? The Swamp Gas Kacheek was not there until I added it to the front page.

Her lookup says: xxxx the Swamp Gas Kacheek

The second line wasn't for me, was it? :D Thanks for adding.

Well, the colours as they appear on the look-ups and in the Rainbow Pool are not necessarily the same as the ones that are used in the news (which is where the front page images come from). So even though it may read Swamp Gas, the word I'd need for the front page could be swamp_gas, swampgas, gassy, swampy or similar. I just can't remember when the last one was released to check the news for the right word.

Technically the first wasn't either, but I'm always glad to get help. I also enjoy helping out here when I have time (which hasn't been too often for a while).

The news post of 29 January says http://images.neopets.com/images/nf/kac ... _happy.png

http://www.neopets.com/nf.phtml?nf_date=2014-01-27

Probably not what you meant, though :D

I put in a code for the new Stealth Cybunny (female) but she was not "stock". I have the new stock code now, 4mwcv5xk.

I'd just like to say here that I'm very grateful to everyone who's been adding new pets and images as they come out. Thanks all! :)
