Lame, lame, lame, lame!
What happened to the sponge pets that resembled the Sponge Kiko?

Argh. In everything but the BD poses, the entire body, besides the tail, seems to be cut out of one piece. Also, something's a bit...off when it comes to the thick "edges". It just doesn't look right.
The BD poses are better, but still not fine...
And, SPONGES DO NOT NEED BANDAGES! RARRRRGH!

Just...bad. Points for the colour, though.

Ugh, that bandage looks like it isn't on the leg but somewhere in front of it. *shakes head* Really lazy work. And I don't like pink. I could tolerate it in the Sponge Aisha, but no in a Lupe.
Help me to make my Dreams come true?
I really don't like the approximation to 2D that sponge pets do, because somehow it never works and leaves my head hurting when I try to work out what's going on.
If I was trying to zap for a nice lupe colour (um... Maraquan? Robot? None of them appeal to me) then the possibility of ending up with a pink sponge would not be a good thing- I'd rather just do without.

Neopets wishlists: here
The problem with the Sponge Lupe is that the artist has unintentionally drawn it like an Escher drawing with imposible positioning of the sides of the sponge on the legs, tail, etc.
See, the front and back legs are on the same plane of existance (because, dear artist, the sponge is flat.), however, the edging on the side of the front leg places it in front of the back leg.
Instead of being clever like Escher, it looks like it was drawn by a backwards third grader with uncorrected astigmatism and a drinking problem.

I thought it was okay, not great, until I got down to the beaten pose... That was so close to being good, and then they go and add a bandage that doesn't even look like it's part of the same image.
It's not even that, logically, sponges don't need bandages - it's the way it looks. Like it's photoshopped in!

Eh, the beaten pose is kindof decent, with its soggyness and whatnot, but the bandage is so random. C'mon now, who bandages a sponge? Honestly. I sure wouldn't, no matter how bad or hard I scrubbed with it. And everyone's already said it, but yeah, the tail is totally having an off the body experience.
