When I saw 'Darigan Korbat' as the latest thread on the main index page I mentally shuddered - oh, jeez... this is going to be bad...
But, shock horror, it actually isn't, it's actually very very good. It has some really nice touches that people have already mentioned, and it isn't rather daft-looking like the standard Korbat. If I had to have a Korbat, it'd be one of these.
It's been recolored and now it looks horrible. And the new face shape BLECH. The wings look better but this redo is attrocious. The pet actually looked really good before. Not that I'd ever get one but I'm sad. Sadder then when they ruined the Maraquan Gelert.
Dur. Wtf? So you gave it a crappy recolor and ruined the angular structure the face instead of making the body resemble an actual bat, or any living animal for that matter, instead of a potato? You fail and make no sense. Did you not understand that the reason people liked this so much, despite its silly korbat body, was because of it's resemblence to Lord Darigan? I mean you do understand that don't you TNT?
I must admit like others I was worried when I saw the topic of darigan korbat but was quiet pleased when I saw how it looked. I like the idea of it but it just doesn't totally work with me. It's the korbat round body that offsets it. I like the face and the wings but that body just doesn't work. I would love it if it wasn't for the body. But then they went and changed the colour and that put me off. The colour of the wings I like but the dark purple they used..just makes it look like the other purple darigans and they went and rounded the face, makeing it look less evil. Boo on who had it redone.
Oh and I would like to say I agree on the korbats defently need a update.
I really liked the original one, although I didn't make the effort to comment about it...I thought it was an adorable little evil bat, and if that appealed to me any more, I'd want one.
Now it's just...what did they do to it? Why do they make things WORSE when they change them?
