Grey Pteri

For discussion of new pet colours- speculation and discussion of colours in general should be placed in New Features or Misc.

Eh, it could be that pteris aren't their best pet and that they're better at drawing other things. I know if I drew a horse it'd look like crap. XD

It is rather blah though, I miss the really good greys we were getting.

¡Ay Dios mio, esta catástrofe me hace llorar! And it probably makes me speak in garbled Spanish as well.

SuxOrz, I suppose it could always be worse than this.

Interesting take on the Spanish language, mi amigo. (It wasn't that bad :P)

I'd like to give the artist the benefit of the doubt - they surely have talent to have been hired. Perhaps they were rushed or something like that.

The pet, though, is still quite bad, in my eyes.

Wow, and pteris had such good redraws up until now. Faerie, Robot and Darigan are all at the tops of those color options. Even Maraquan, while not my personal favorite, is at least well drawn. And then there is this. I was really excited when I saw the topic title too. How unfortunate.

I went to the Disco board first and saw Huggles post so I wasn't expecting much, but it was much worse than I thought.

We should remember to be careful, on these boards, not to judge too harshly on the artist as an individual, but solely on the merit of the specific pet art at hand. To say that the artist who drew this pet should be cut from TNT is too rough; as Aqua said, perhaps Pteri aren't his/her specialty. And it's also possible that this is the work of several artists, so no one person might be at fault. Everyone has off days, with art; it's just that some of those off days end up published. ;P

This is a serious off day, though. Hee.

Does anyone know why this and the Disco one never showed up on the main page, even as unreleased?

I do believe that Huggles said it was because they're uploaded to the server images50, not to images.

Just another grey I just can't look at. It's not the worst grey to me but it's defently not doing it for me. I agree with others when said that the artist just probally isn't the best with drawing birds..I know I have my problems with them. **shakes fist at wings** Or just some other reason. But I don't like it. I can stand to look at it more then some of the other grey pets though, so I'll give it that.

Originally that was true, but it's on the regular images server now.

Just awful. I can hardly stand to look at the badly drawn thing.
It's a terrible blob of a grey pet and the worst pteri color ever :x

Someone stick a cigarette in it's beak and give it a beer bottle... and maybe a bottle of pills by it's side because this bird is looks anything but depressed!
