PsyPets

Post by Enriana »

Hi guys,

I know you haven't heard from me in FOREVER. I still exist. I've been doing a lot of MUSHing (text roleplaying, basically), and found and befriended someone who owns a small pet site, called Psypets. (Psypets.net.)

This is a blurb I wrote about the game:
PsyPets is unlike most virtual pet sites you've played before - instead of spending your time making money to paint that pet a special color, the game is more about your pet's personality. The graphic you choose is merely aesthetic.

Once created, your pet can forage, fight monsters, paint, forge rings, make sculptures, hunt, tailor, and even invent things. Also, if your pet is female, it can also become pregnant and have babies.

There is no pet limit, however, depending on various circumstances, only a certain number of your pets are "active" (the maximum active pets is 110).

If you have an urge to have an adventure with some pixels in a finely crafted world that's a mix of modern, fantasy, and sci-fi, sign up today at psypets.net.
Pet names are also NOT unique (ever wanted a pet called Tetris? Athena? Bob? All within your reach!).

There's a list of all the possible pets you can get here.

I am, of course, enriana on there. Give it a try!

The owner, Ben, is AWESOME.

The art is so unlike what I expect from pet site art that I was put off by it for about half a second, but on closer examination damn, those are really charming. Also:
PsyPets wrote:The pets' behaviors are defined by Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, personality theory, and common sense.
Yeah, this warrants further investigation.

I thought so too, but then I remembering that investigating requires thinking and thinking is hard and I'm tired and lazy. Mostly, I'm lazy. I've had my fill of investigating new pet sites and I'm not too eager to start back anytime soon. Let me know how it turns out, okay?
