Heads Up! Name clearing on December 15th.

Post by Mistress Morbid »

On December 15th starting at around noon EST, we will begin clearing pet names and account names that have been inactive. Frozen accounts inactive for 10 months will be cleared, and non-frozen accounts inactive for a year, will be cleared.
Just thought I'd post this for anyone with their eyes on a certain name. :)

Well, this might explain why my pet's name was suddenly "taken back" a few days ago. Maybe. Probably not. :P

I guess I'm namestalking this time around, though I'm not quite sure what name I actually want. Good luck to everyone else waiting on a name! :)

Huh. Wasn't it 8 months for frozen accounts last time around?

I think Keith mentioned in the last Keith Answers that he was going to increase the time period from 8 to 10 months to give absent users a better chance at keeping their accounts and pets.

I'm kind of relieved that I came back to Subeta because I'm pretty sure I didn't log in for -at least- a year during my hiatus from pet sites. >.> I would have been crushed to see my pets and account gone.

Yay :D I'm due for my 5 year loyalty box (...omg.) any day now, and I've found 4 or 5 names on frozen accounts that might be up for grabs. It's kinda annoying how all profiles have defaulted to "hidden" statuses or I'd be hunting pets on unfrozen accounts as well. I'm not as crazy about them this time around, as nothing can top grabbing Dandelion in the last clearing. :P

Good luck to anyone else in their name hunting!

Edit: Covet, I'm hunting nothing but real word names, and I'll gladly post the list on Tuesday. I'm hesitant to do it just yet though since I am excited about at least one of them. :3

If anyone knows of a pretty real word name they -don't- want...

Well, I used my loyalty box to get an extra pet slot last clearing and then must have missed the name I'd wanted by a fraction of a second. So I have a slot but no pet and I'd love some ideas.

I don't have any pet slots left ( :( ) so if anyone wants a list but doesn't want to do all the searching I can probably find some stuff for you.

I'm so happy. There are two pet names I want (one more than the other), but I don't know how long the accounts have been inactive (hidden status and whatnot). :( Is there any way to find out, or do I just have to wait and see?

For anyone who's interested, apparently you can fill out a ticket and ask how long accounts have been frozen. Just be sure to be very polite, since staff are technically going out of their way to look up names for you. :D I filed mine under "Frozen Accounts - Other" and it was responded to very promptly!

As it turns out, the names I want most are the ones that will clear. Figures. :P And at least one is a very common real word. I'll be reloading like mad on Tuesday.

Hopefully everyone got the names they wanted. I managed to miss out on Eden and Bell a-again. I think I give up on trying to fill my last pet slot.

I got King, Ice and Charm, which were the three I wanted most, so I'm very happy :D

Sorry you missed out on the names you were after, covet, but hopefully you'll get something in the January clearing!
