I AM STILL FURIOUS ABOUT LOSING MY ISLANDER STATUS TOO. NO ONE TOLD ME THAT WOULD HAPPEN. *hisssss*

Erm, yeah. Apparently I'm still just a bit twitchy about that too.

Another annoying one is from last year, when I stayed a zombie for at least two or three weeks after the cure was released, finally took it, and I swear to deity, not a day later they came out with the stupid achievement. Hopefully I can get it this year.

As an aside, I snerked about that too, Ty. Not quite as much as I snarked at this bit from Tits:
"We're also finding the some communities are choosing to celebrate in unconventional ways!"
She's supposed to do that for a living; one would think she'd at least hire a decent copy-editor. >.>

I was bored and in a moment of weakness made an account.... So far I'm still trying to figure everything out, but if anyone can spare some kisses, my link is: http://www.subeta.net/kiss.php?user=506145

Also tips are welcome, for example, what do I collect the candy hearts for?

Previously, candy hearts were given to Louis L'amour for a quest where you'd get candy hearts. Heh. Last year, you needed the candy hearts to make the cure for the 2009 virus, Lamouracillin. This year, we dunno yet, as far as I'm aware--maybe they'll be needed for the new cure?

So, is anyone getting close to the 200 kisses achievement yet? I'm just over halfway there, starting to think of possibly spamming the forums. XD It always bugs me when I get something like 5/6 or 6/7 tiers and not the final one.

Woohoo, I finally found my way back to a computer (weekend of travel) to find I have been kissed a lot! I wish I could get that many kisses in real life!

I will now go to work and return as many as I can. But there are some names that I don't recognize (the NC on SB tread helps most of the time) and I thus can't find a link for :( I wish there was a link on profiles as well!

I have the "Kiss 200 People" one, but I'm at 169/200 for the "Get Kissed" one. NCers have been very helpful ^_^

I've finished both the achievements to the top tiers now. :D Thanks to everyone who kissed me - I am still going around and passing my affections on, but remember they need not be returned.

lol @ all the rage going on in the newspost and the forums over this ending, especially the folks telling the complainers to cancel their accounts.

I'm kinda sad about the event being so short/not as epic as the last, but you can't really expect them all to be that awesome. The option to somehow get a different disease though would be nice, if only to keep the aesthetically please-able people ... well, pleased. Because there's more of those on Subeta than you can shake a stick at.

Wow, I just looked at the news and you aren't kidding. Personally, I was happy to have any event at all since I was MIA around this time last year and got no achievements except the Survivor one. This time I was able to go back and complete a lot that I figured would be permanently retired. (Thanks, staff!) The truth is, every event simply cannot out-do the last one. Within a year, we'd be bogged down by month-long epic events and absolutely nothing else on the site. And of course people would begin complaining that events are too big and too much work and they want a break now. XD

As for the kissing, I'm around 115/200 at this point. :3 NC has been incredibly helpful!

Edit: All done with kissing! If you want to remove me from the list, go for it- I'll keep kissing everyone else until the event is over. :)

I've been gone the few days and I admit I was a tiny bit shocked to read it was over already

But wow, the butthurt is almost hilarious. Especially the people telling the complainers the "cancel button is right there". People are ALWAYS going to find a way to complain, and personally I felt this event was just long enough (however, I wasn't here for last years). Any longer and I would be dragging my feet (I felt this way about the Fireside event)

Now to get my butt in gear and kiss (I love you guys for all the help XD)
