I love playing M&M. I got 30 points the first time I played through since they redid the points (granted, that was a -very- frustrating game) and 18 points this last game. I don't play it that often, because sometimes I get REALLY aggravated (like when the stupid maze heals the enchanted padlock over and over and over)... but it's great for a break from restocking and I know I'll keep playing it after the con is over.

I would just like to mark this moment where I agree with Bacon 100%. Omen Raiders is terrible.

edit: You know what, I'm sorry, but this game is even worse than I thought. I had my score get... halved? Something like that? Because Merana and Amy popped out when I was on the same side, and even though I moved after them immediately, past a certain level, you can't go faster than Merana (can't get ahead of her to shoot her). But she can go faster than Amy. Oh yes. I'm so happy that girl is already dead on the site, because this just makes me hate her so much more. It's nice that I would have gotten about 30 points for that play and I got 15 instead for something completely out of my control.

I force myself to play this thing because it's at least guaranteed points. I keep thinking of ways Omen Raiders could have been better (how about if there were multipliers for shooting the same kind of enemy to add some level of strategy? how about if you could start on level 6 speed just to make it go faster, even at 0 points? how about if you had happy flashing visuals or powerups or any of the things they add to games to make them more interesting when they rerelease them?) or ways the overall war could have been better (how about if you didn't show people the team stats from the start so it wouldn't be a foregone conclusion the entire damn time?).

I assume I'll be wanting prizes once the thing is over, even though I'll be on the losing side. But all I can think is, "No reward is worth this!"

Keith has said the prize shop is going to be the same for both teams and the winning team are to get a minimal reward (boooo) - maybe a few extra items, but nothing major. In short, he doesn't want to punish people for choosing the 'wrong' side and believes overall effort is more important. Which, I suppose, is fair. But I want to be pampered. :P

And supposedly the points from M&M is linked to the number of guardians killed (which seems pretty likely) or number of turns taken. Which kinda sucks because killing the guardians is a bit of a waste of time imo. But I'm just about to play and I shall try to kill a few and report back with my findings.

Well, I got 12 points and I think I only killed one guardian. Maybe two - one seemed to mysteriously vanish. Overall, inconclusive. :P

THIS! I love Subeta a lot, and I give Keith props for trying new stuff and such, but occasionally I wish some things on the site would go through a longer idea phase, such as this war.

I finally reached 10,000 points tonight- good lord, has it been painful! Anything beyond this is just icing on the cake for me. <3

I'd also like to mention that this score is a 7,812.5% increase from my Island/Pirate total of 128. LOL!!

Thanks to encouragement from some awesome friends (*hugs Tiki!*) I managed to meet my goal of 1,000 restock points. May not seem like a lot, but it's an amazing amount to me, since I'm not the best restocker! I'm not setting a new goal, but I'm going to keep going just for fun xD I've come to know the food shop really, really well, haha

Congrats Tiki and Jessi! Such great scores. I know how you feel Jessi, I'm not the best restocker myself either. So getting to where I'm at now, 600, I'm pretty proud of myself. Heh, a lot better then what I did last year.
I can't bear to play Omen Raiders though. I was so excited when I heard it was like Space Invaders but when I played it, I didn't like it as much. I just want to ditto Ty and Bacon with their rants about it. I can't even get passed the second level and I don't gain any points for the time spent. So I gave up and decided to center on restocking.

My problem with Omen Raiders is the problems I keep having with the controls. Sometimes I have to really hold down an arrow to make the character move, other times I completely overshoot my destination. Both get me killed a LOT.

I wouldn't mind some power-ups, either.

I just want to know why every time I've gotten a voting wall with a costume I recognized from NC, there are always TWO costumes from NC, so I have to choose between them. It's apparently two or none. Weird.

The few times I've gotten to vote for an NCer, they were online at the time.

I wish I could negative vote. I would like to vote down HAs that are Mori in all the Mori clothes, or the Mad Hatter with the Mad Hatter costume trunk. Or Ariel underwater with fish and... legs. Heh.

I've gotten a few NCers showing up too. Only once though did I have to pick between two of them.
And I'm with you Ty with the negative vote. I would so vote down those same people as you. I'd also vote down the people that use ref pictures of the same HA they have in the contest or a different dressed HA. But then I could see how such a thing could be abused too. :P

Shocking news for me, I reached 1k in points! I never ever thought I ever hit that mark. I was happy when I hit 200, sheesh. XD Now I can leave tomorrow on my mini trip feeling good about my points. Though I'll be curious about what kind of prizes and such their are until I return Friday.

I finally got to vote for Lafayette from True Blood! That one is so spot-on that I recognized it immediately without needing to look at the reference. So great.

I hate it when I get a wall of avatars and every single one is boring or badly-done. I wish you could refresh for new ones, although I understand why that would be a bad idea.

I'm maybe getting like one or two decent/good cosplays per page when I can vote again, the rest are grossly disappointing =\

Honestly the only problem I have with omen raiders is that it starts off too slow for me, like WAY too slow
otherwise it's been good to me in getting restock points, I thought I was only going to have like 20 points
because I fail at restocking but now i'm up to 250-ish so i'm happy XD

Some power ups would be very much appreciated though, also fuck you Amy for drifting by and causing me to lose
points when i'm trying to shoot sea monsters >:T

Looking at the prizes of the last RS war, I'm thinking my goal should be at least 1000 points. Unfortunately, I'm barely past 250. ): I don't have the patience to restock, and it's even harder to make more than 10 points a game on Omen Raiders.

Also, since not everyone follows the Subeta Facebook, a sneak peek of one prize was posted last night.

Oh, that can't be a Pikachu related prize, can it?
