Rereading Case Histories'd be good since there's some sort of sequel coming out soon :) As for the ones you've suggested, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close sounds the most interesting to me, but I think I'd be willing to read any of them assuming a library nearby had them.

Oh! One I totally forgot to mention is Brick Lane.

I've read Brick Lane, but it's also quite good. =) I did a presentation on it during England Semester.

I really like how The Handmaid's Tale, The Blind Assassin, and The Known World sound. But I'm up for reading any of them as well. Gendel, by John Gardner, has been on my list for a while.

I would love to be in a NC book club. I should really read more.

Lolita is very good and discussable. I already read it, but nevermind.

Mortal Engines is also good. It's classed as a children's book, but it really shouldn't be.

The Wasp Factory I'm also saying.

It's hard to recommend books I haven't already read...

I would also be eager to take part, it sounds like a great idea.

I think the best idea would be to make a poll with some of the popular choices and have everyone vote for which book to choose.

I'm in, if this comes to fruition.

Even if I've read the book, I am always up for a reread. I'd love to get other's opinions.

I'd definitely be interested in taking part in this if it were to get the go ahead. I've got a number of books that I keep meaning to get around to reading but I never seem to make the time or effort at the moment, this might help me actually do something.

Ok, so far the members interested are:

Me
Jazzy
Bon
Anzuronamin
KauKrazy
Linzie
Oogabooga - Maybe
FaerieInGrey
Kralia - ?
Trick
Sgt. Pooh
Mindless

And I also think a poll would be the best idea. If everyone would confirm as to whether or not they want to participate, I'll go ahead and add a poll.

I would probably be interested. It would vary month-to-month depending on how busy I was and how interested I was in the book.

I'd be interested, but it would depend on how much I wanted to read that particular book. And whether I could convince Derek to take me to the book store or library, hee.

I'd love to join if it were a nice informal thing that didnt require anything. I like discussing books, too few people read the ones I do.

So count me in most of the time at least.

Me too. I haven't read a book in ages, nor been to the library since the former librarian was replaced with a replicator. I don't have any suggestions, but I'm open to anything. I also don't think we'd need a formal member list or anything. I think we'd get and keep more people involved if they knew they could pop in or out when they're interested.
