Sending all my good thoughts that Jessi gets better soon. Any type of surgery is never any fun.

I had similar symptoms to her last year, and found out that I had a huge (cantaloupe-sized) pancreatic tumor. Since it was so big I had to have major surgery... and they took out a few of my other internal organs with it (my entire spleen, half of my pancreas and about half of my stomach). I hope she can have it out laproscopically, but if she has to have regular surgery, just tell her that although she may be upset and scared, everything will come out ok in the end. Doctors today have much better knowledge now then they used to, and she'll be perfectly safe. I was extremely upset and nervous before my surgery, but I made it fine - and mine was a lot bigger then her's will be. :) Regular surgery will take longer to heal (it took me almost 6 month before I felt 'normal' again) but either way - having that cyst out of her body will make her feel better in the long run.

I'll keep you both in my prayers! ((Huge hugs)) and good luck! Please keep us updated!!

Oh, sorry to hear that! I know what it can be like to have freak medical scares; I'm glad it's nothing too serious.

Good luck with surgery and everything!

Hey everyone -- I'm back for the hospital for today. They're not going to do the surgery until next Thursday, so I have a few days to stew over it, heh. It will have to be open surgery, so I'll be in the hospital for about 2-3 nights, then have about a week and a half off work to rest up, before returning to working a few hours a week in an attempt to keep up my strength (and not go bankrupt!)

Thank you everyone for all your wellwishes... it was a really wonderful thing to come home to. Right now, I'm in pretty strong pain but also on pretty great painkillers, so that works out, heh. I'll be sure to keep you all updated and have Lindsey update next week after my surgery and what not ^_^

Love you guys!

That *just* happened to one of my really good friends. It was scary, of course, but she's doing really well now.

I'm sending tons of good thoughts your way, jessi!

Ah! I'm glad it's going to be a (relatively) easy fix and you won't have to endure weeks of tests and doctor visits to get it taken care of.

Oh Jessi, good luck with everything! I hope the surgery goes swell and that you're up and about in no time at all! Don't worry about Werewolf or anything like that until you're 100% healed and healthy and ready!

The delay of Werewolf is our utmost concern.

I've been out all day, so I'm coming to this late. I'm glad and relieved to hear you're doing okay. Get as much fun as you can out of the painkillers, and know that we're waiting impatiently for you to recover. :)

Ack Jessi, that doesn't sound too fun. It's good to know you didn't need an emergency operation, though, and I hope the op goes swimmingly and that yours is a speedy recovery! Multiple hugs and Get Well Soon wishes heading your way. =)

Hee, painkillers are great - I worked out how to monopolise on their awesomeness when waiting for surgery on a broken leg a while back. Push the button... get some morphine!

And don't even think about worrying over Werewolf; I'm sure us players can exercise our restraint for a few more days. Who'd ask for their rolesheets a week in advance, anyway? ;P
