new kitty cat! [some images]

Post by Mac »

so today we adopted a lovely amazing new feline from the spca. he's a little boy, about a year old, fucking adorable. he's a himalayan (think meet the fockers), which is a siamese + persian thingy... yeah. anywho, just wanted to share some pictures and get name ideas. as for his personality, he's so so sweet, incredibly affectionate, and has the highest pitched mew i've ever heard.

(and yes that is me in the robe... it's a pimp robe ;_; but it's so warm)

Versachi was the first name that popped into my head :P

He's very cute though! We get a few of those at my work (I work at a humane society) and they are always fun to have around.

Heheh, awww. My best friend has one of those. His name is Bailey. I have a question though; Does he have six toes? Those are called 'Mitten Kittens'.

And....Is that a Bath and Body Works Luxury robe? I have a white one I got for Christmas :P

Polydactyl is the technical term :)
We get tons of polydactyl kittens during kitten season, they are great. Then of course you get the people who come in, pick up a cat without first noticing it has extra digits, notice the 6 toes later, then FREAK out and nearly throw the cat across the room.
We also had a cat with dewclaws on his hind feet, that was rather interesting.

Haha, he's not polydactyl then. You would definitely know if he was, its hard to miss the extra toe :)

Awww, he's adorable! I love Himalayans - my aunt used to have one, biggest cuddliest fluffiest kitty ever. :D

(I used to have a robe like that, 'cept mine was green, but I accidentally left it at a rental house while on vacation a couple of years ago and never got it back. ;_; )

Aw, how cute. Reminds me of my cat growing up (who was a long-furred half-Siamese, not a Himalayan. Her mom was a purebred who got out one night...)

I had a half-Siamese, too, named Sunday. She was solid black with yellow eyes, and she was a highly intelligent devil cat. Still is, I hear (she lives with my ex-roommate; we got the cat together).

Your kitty is adorable, Mac! I love those eyes.
