Well, the hedgehog did die so "poor hedgehog" is probably justified

First thought I had was "poor hedgehog", too. Forget the kid, he probably deserved it.

For what, the heinous crime of being a teenager?

Here's my three scenarios:
1. The guy was bored (or drunk) and thought, "Hey, look! A hedgehog! I'm gonna throw it at that kid!"
2. The kid pissed him off - maybe, the kid threw the hedgehog at him first and then the guy threw it back!
3. They were watching way too much "Jackass" and decided to do their own stunt titled, "Hedgehog Dodgeball".

WHO KNOWS?!

It's a good thing the kid wasn't seriously injured or else this story wouldn't be nearly as funny. And it'd be 100x more funny if the hedgehog didn't die. Well, the story said they didn't know of the hedgehog's condition at the time of the attack. Maybe it was already dead. :: Poor hedgehog.
