Subeta: Spectrum Illumis and Bovyne

Wonderful color, Aqua; makes me even sorrier than I already am that there's a fifteen pet limit. I love the rainbow its swirling all around; it makes it look very dynamic to me. And the wings are stunning too. <3

The Bovyne's quite nice as well, but I much prefer the Illumis. I like its splashed-on colors look though - and the gleeful expression it has. The medallion makes me happy as well - although I couldn't quite say why. =D

the Bovyne looks really nice too. I like the splashy color patterns and its happy prancey pose. XD

I'm really going to have to start collecting the pretty elixirs, these and the torrent are my favourites.

Yeah, the elixirs are my work as well. It's funny because I thought I'd have an impossible time drawing a bottle decently, but those turned out alright.

As for clothing, I might.. But I've been trying to leave avatar work to the others as I'm not very good at it. XD

Ah, the Illumis really is pretty. I may break down and try and get one. Though it'd be nice if Spectrum Potions would restock in the Token Shop.

The illumis is v pretty. They both are, actually, but I like the illumis more -- its antennae are pretty. I do wish the coloured spots in the wings looked a little more transparent, maybe with more shines on them... Hmm. I don't really know how to describe the faint dislike I have of the wings, but there is somethingn about them that make me not want one.

...which is probably for the better! Do not need more pet-wanties.

Aww, i agree with Figgy. The illumis is just -gorgeous-, Aqua, but I wish the wings were a bit more transparent. They look really thick compared to the rest of the pet ;_;

The Bovyne is nice, but bovynes irk me in general because I think they're too -real- looking Ah well. I do not have room for pets anymore anyway.

Hmm. The Spectrum Illumis would have been a wonderful color for my pet Dancinglight, who is currently a Spectrum Kumos.

On the other hand, I also really like Spectrum Kumos.

The Illumis is very pretty, Aqua, I agree with everyone else. However, I'm more of paint-spattered-spectrum fan, so I think I prefer the Bovyne. Its lines are just so lovely and soft, and I adore its rainbow devil tail. It's one of my new favourite spectrums. I can't decide if I want one or not.

However... what the hell is with all the Bovyne redraws coming out? I'm a little disappointed the Illumis got one so fast, too, as lovely as it is. I've been waiting patiently for a great Tutani redraw since their release, and so far, they have nothing. A lot of pretty colourfills, but given how amazing redraws are on Subeta, those aren't completely satisfying. The Celinox, too, was released ages ago, and yet all it has so far is Chibi.

I'm all for any sort of redraw because they're almost always fantastic, and great art is great art, no matter the pet. But spreading around the redraws between the pets would be appreciated, too.

Edit: Oh, and about the Illumis, it has different-coloured eyes! Figment, did you notice?

I made the wings dark to keep them more monarch butterfly-ish, plus I wanted them to be a darker shade than the grey on the body, so making them more transparent would have messed with both those things. It might have looked good as well with more transparent coloured bits though, but that never came to my mind when I was making it. D:

I also had a version of the illumis with splatters on its arms instead of stripes, but the striped version was better liked.

Shmoe, totally understand. I've also been waiting on some nice colours for the Celinox, the only redraw of it so far in the Chibi version. It's such a lovely pet, I'd love to see where the artist who drew it will take it with the colours. So hopefully soon it will get some attention. *nods*

Well, if it makes you feel better, Shmoe, that was the last Bovyne redraw color.x3 I thought I was going too slow with the colors, to be honest. And I felt bad for leaving staff and not finishing the last one.^^; I'm sure you'll get Tutani colors soon. And I mean that as encouragement. I know nothing.xD

The Illumis is awesome. Not quite what I have in mind for mine(I think I'll wait to see what Reborn looks like), but very pretty nonetheless. I'm so glad someone made a moth pet. Aqua, was it your idea? Or was it suggested to you? I'm just curious. I can't wait to see what you do with the rest of the species.

It was my idea. Since there's quite a few special moth/butterfly pets on the site, and fireflies are cool (plus the Torrent was losing its lamp), I figured a moth/firefly combo would be intersting.
