I actually never said Neocolours opinions were not important to me or Subeta. I simply said that we cannot cater the entire site to the opinions of this one community.

Since, to my knowledge, the only place Keith mentioned a dragon revamp was here to this small community, I mentioned the site of Neocolours and why it would not happen simply because the numbers didn't add up.

But please, realize, I did also say that I value your input.

Trust me. I don't want the site. However, Keith hired us to manage the artists and writers and that's what we do. We only have as much control as he has given us.

The dragon revamp and its revision was simply a miscommunication between Keith and DNA which has been cleared up.

Thanks Keith, I was hoping you weren't trying to tell us things so that we'd calm down, you don't seem like that sort of person, but what DNA said kind of made it seem like it.

As for those two options personally I'd prefer A, only because there are quite a few Dragons already (Magnus, Paralix, Dragarth, Endeavor, Dragon..did I miss any?) and another would be over the top. I mean you got rid of the Slushii because you had another penguin type pet, granted dragons are more popular and varied than penguins, but I am trying to put a point across.

If you end up needing a new artist I think you should try to go for one that has some kind of attachment to the old one because to me it seems like DNA didn't really care about what people liked about the old Dragon, she drew the new one and that's that.

The Angelic Dragon is so good how it is right now that I would hope that it could be relined or shaded if need be.

DNA just sends me mixed signals is all. Sometimes I see posts and I'm 'Heh that's awesome' and then others I'm like 'OMFG what a jfsldkjfal arg' -eye twtich-

Okay, I hope so this whole thing with the dragon is just headache inducing >.O.

I've apparently missed all the drama, but all I have to say is...

Someone needs to give DNA a good solid lesson in customer relations. Some of her art is quite nice (though I'm not a fan of her pet art) but her customer relations skills leave a lot to be desired.

I'm sorry if that strikes the PTB as being too personal, but there it is.

Subeta has wonderful art and in general I appreciate how responsive staff are to user concerns, but some aspects of the way some of the staff deal with users could use some work. Seriously, this sort of dust-up is bad for your business, Keith. It puts me off from forking over my RL money in the cash shop and I'd be astonished if I was the only one who felt that way.

B: Create a new, thinner dragon pet, that has a few different features, but is slimmer and more for the people who dislike the current one.
If I had a say in this decision, I'd go with A. I don't see the need for yet ANOTHER dragon pet. We already have three, four if you count the gargoyle one. Plus the Paralix is pretty thin in comparison to the other two, is that a hint that it's look will be changed soon as well? =\

You know I heard a rumor that the Paralix might be revamped too, don't quote me on this though.
But I would seriously be pissed if my Scribex got turned into some big bulky dragon thing, instead of his nice slender self >8(
Oh well what's one more dragon pet we have like what 5 canine pets lol

No rumor, DNA practically announced she would when the galactic paralix came out. So you might have to be ready for that =x I just hope we get a poll on it or she does her damndest to keep the feel of the old paralix...I honest to god hope it's not too bulky ;_;

Yeah, DNA pretty much said that it was going to be changed. I'm sort of glad the drama over the Dragon appears to have taken her attention off of it for a bit, since it really gave me the impression that she was going to suddenly revamp it like the Dragon was (without a poll, that is).

I think she needs to be given other projects. If a lot of pets are going to be revamped by her, they're likely to have a similarly lumpy style. :/

Seriously she does, I like her other stuff like the items she has done and some of her art. But the pets are a no go.
Um didn't she do the Dillema? Cause I really like that pet and I heard someone said it was by her I think O.o

Yes, she's the dillema and archan artist. I think dillemas are quite lovely and had an account full of them for quite some time. As I've said before, her plump and rounded style is perfect for a chubby plush or creatures with more muscle. I'd like to see her do the warador, perhaps the mortiking, and maybe the make the hipposaru look more like a chubby hippopotamus and less like a cow with odd kitten feet. And of course, the legendary weapons she made totally and unfairly awesome. I can't speak for anyone else, but I agree with Bgryph that she's taken things much too personally, because her style is so unique that people either love it or hate.

You're not. You're definitely not. I spend a not insubstantial amount of money in the cash shop, and every time DNA says something offensive or juvenile -- which is often -- it makes me wonder what the hell I'm doing, supporting a company that permits that sort of conduct, apparently without so much as a reprimand. I have not hit the breaking point yet, but I will eventually, and when that happens Subeta loses my business.

I think all of DNA's reprimands are done behind the curtains, though. I notice she shut up quick after Keith showed up in the newspost, so I'm going to bet he got onto her for that shenanigan.

Or at least, I sure hope so.

I couldn't even bring myself to go look through the comments on the news post as I had a feeling they would piss me off and make me want to scream. Seeing just the few that you guys have posted here confirmed that I should avoid the comments if I want to keep my sanity for the evening. This whole thing has been a mess from the beginning right up until now and I just can't seem to see it getting any better any time soon. DNA has been throwing around attitude about the dragon revamp from day one and it doesn't seem to have gotten any better. We here at NC were not the only people who commented about things they didn't like. I clearly remember the forum topic on this and there were lots of people who aren't members here who had plenty to say about the old versus new dragon. Singling Neocolours out is a pretty shitty thing to do as well. I don't care what the reasoning was for it. It came across as, "These people are a big bunch of whiners and they are the only ones who don't like the new dragon and we don't care about them." I had a dragon pre-revamp. I loved my dragon pre-revamp. I was so unhappy with the new dragon that i potioned my pet into a Popoko. I don't care if the dragon wasn't as popular as the Feli or the Sheeta...it was still someones (in this case quite a few someones) pet and deserved equal and fair treatment when it came time to revamp it. I appreciate Keith posting here and I hope that one of those options actually comes to pass. I really do. Unfortunately, I agree that it has gotten to a point where it feels more like a mexican standoff and DNA isn't about to back down first, which means that we the users are expected to "blink" and let this one go. I know it is just a virtual world and the pets are pixels, but this particular pet is what convinced me to join the site to begin with.

Well, I hope someone else does the Paralix besides DNA. Seems like every pet she draws is WAY to muscular and she needs to tone that down. It'd be very disappointing to have a sleek Paralix tuned into an Arnold/dragon creature.

Also, I just wanted to say that I'm surprised that people still like the Angelic Dragon. It looks so old and outdated to me - I'm surprised that it didn't get revamped yet. But I bet the revamped one would look even worse :P Just my opinion, don't kill me Angelic Dragon owners

I would say muzzle rather than leash. Seriously, when I read some her posts, I *scowled* at the computer. I wish I had a nicer way to say this, but... someone please shut her up.
