Is there a way to get the NC icon back on the site?

I dunno if it's copyrighted/costs money or what, but thought I'd ask. I miss it. *nostalgia*

Jazzy designed it. I don't know how you'd get it applied to the site - it'd be sitewide, not just the forum, I think. But yes, I'd like it back too.

sort of- I designed it, but Sam coloured it (it was originally green). Not sure, therefore, where we stand on it.

interesting, but it's far too big- favicons are a maximum of 16x16px and 16 colours.

I made these two, they are different, but if people want, I have enough spare time at school to do them in any style you guys desire. ^^

Aqua's is cute though, and then we wouldnt have any problems with changing the name if Sam is willing to kick up legal arguements about the Neocolours name.

Can we use the old Neocolours logo instead of the phpbb one? I would love to have that one back! are we allowed to use it? Or can some-one make a new logo?

Favicons are applied by sticking a couple of lines of code in the head of a document (with the title and stuff) to tell it where the ICO file is. On some servers/file managers you can do it just by uploading.

Would setting this site's favicon be as simple as putting the icon in a folder, or would somebody have to make all the headers have the code?

Make it a .ico file named favicon.ico, and stick it in the root of the webserver directory if you want it to be sitewide. It's what is used as default by most servers. If it's just for a limited set of pages, the HTML <head> section will need to contain a directive to set it up.
