The animation is of a blue Lutari opening the first advent door, and he grunts in surprise as it loops infinitely through the scene. I'm not a big fan of his irises getting smaller while his eyes widen (and what's up with those freakish pupils?), but it's a common cartoon thingie.
I didn't figure out what was going on with the animation until I saw the book prize. At first I thought something behind the calendar door had hit the poor Lutari in the face, due to the sound effect.
Aww, sorry. But you got in the first reply. That counts for something, right?
Also, being the first of the month, don't forget your Monthly Freebies.
Hopefully we'll also get avatars (past ones for those of you who haven't gotten them yet and maybe a new one) and of course figure out once and for all the exact requisites for getting the Winter Holiday theme. So far, the one thing that seems to be certain is visiting the Advent Calendar without fail every day.
Also, an interesting bonus feature - the Snowager is hibernating this month and you can visit him once every hour. Might help us get the avatar, finally
eta: while jellyneo says it's hourly, the consensus seems to be it's more like every 2h, else you get a message saying you've already had a prize today. No idea if that resets the counter. It may also be that you can only get prizes and not actually get blasted, but it all seems a bit confused at the moment.
Two notorious creatures of the deep drinking something (Borovan? underwater?), cackling over ominous tapping on a map about the location of Krawk Island.
Today's animation was cute! I kinda hoped we'd get the Kiko's tree as one of the items, but oh well XD
Seagrass Tea from day two is so pretty argh. I love it.
The animation was kinda odd (it showed a Kiko sledding in the sand).. did the Kiko's eyes look weird to anyone else? Maybe it was just me. I do like today's prizes, though :B.
I'm not quite sure what to make of the animation. A Bruce guard (oddly animated body vs. head) lets in a Quiggle and then looks at a trio of Yooyus standing on each other's shoulders to be Neopet-height and lets them in. I have no idea how they're going to make it up those stairs.

You find a Holidays on the Space Station Background!!!
You also find a Holiday Tree Necklace!!!
You also find a Rod of Supernova!!!
... and as you to go pick it up, the Pant Devil snatches it and flies away. Boo hiss.
Animation was of a Robot Hissi looking out of a window and seeing some tree-shaped stars. It was cute I wonder if they'll ever stop pulling the 'you found a rod of supernova' joke? It's getting kind of old now :B.
Animation was of that Krawk guy from the recent plot (did he have a name?) sitting on a beach, then a Koi pops up and gives him some cake. Or something like that :B -bad at summarizing things-
I like the items; the cake is weirdly light, but I like it. I dunno, it just grabs my attention for some reason XD.
The Snowager has now been changed so that it only lets you take a prize once daily - which is a bit odd, because before it was hibernating you could go three times daily. Oh well.
A Flotsam in Maractite armor gets an idea for his trident, stabs a few chestnuts on it and joins a Peophin to roast their goodies over an underwater fire. There's also a possessed swimming Christmas tree making weird noises as it pulsates past.
Am i the only one a bit creeped out by the fire, tree, and odd movement in the lower section of the Flotsam's armor? The fire is cool though, and i feel a little less weird about it since they acknowledge via the goodie that it's an "underwater fire." It's rather Spongebob of them. As a wearable, it's neat-looking, but i wish it were a little bigger and flickered.
I love today's prizes! The fire in particular is pretty.
The animation was so weird, though! What was up with the floating Christmas tree? I liked it, though XD (and yeah, the weird movement in the Flotsam's armour creeped me out, too >_>)
If you signed up for the NC Stufftacular, those items show up at the same time. Or at least this time they did for me.
The animation is clever, i thought. A Kiko is playing a claw machine (luck vendor) and gets a shiny golden ball. He seems pleased and tries for another one and is surprised by a claw sans ball - coming for him.
