I just want my pets back!
I can ignore lots of new things cos I have to.. but the pets have been most important to me in that site. And now they are all gone

I'm totally going to quit premium!

Neopets has never been the best of companies when it comes to customer service, but this is just screwed. They have to be doing this for money, but how much can this generate, they've taken a website with a loyal fan base, turned it half arsed into something else, and they think they're going to keep numbers up.

I don't know how to quote things, so...

This is what really gets me. Viacom thinks this will make them money, yes? But the thing is, they have turned Neopets into the thing that most adults/teenagers who make up the paying Neopets userbase HATE. Therefore, they are scaring away the members who are paying for Premium, who have the means, money and motivation to buy the magazine and merchandise. Without these people, Neopets will lose a TON of revenue.

My parents never bought me any Neopets merchandise, I bought it all myself when I had the money, which was when I was about 14/15. There might be a new craze where kiddie-is-always-right, but I still don't think parents are going to increase their spending that much to make up for the loss of millions of members who can pay. So in essence, this makeover makes zero sense.

At first I thought of just quitting but reading the newer posts here makes me think I also should write something to the team before I leave... I'm still pondering what to say.

Thanks for the link to Shieboo's page. I'm flipping through the pages, devastated by the changes to the pets.
Every single species/color combination that was somehow different or special - with great details or original art, is now the same. One pose, one look, that's all.

Grey Ixi and Grey Acara, Faerie Lenny, Xweetok and Pteri, all the Darigan pets have lost everything that was special about them.

Hissis, Kois, Jetsams now have hands in stead of wings or fins. Snakes with hands?!? Fish with hands?!? Were they even thinking?

Bori's new pose looks like it's been drawn by a 10-yead old, it's so unnatural.

Pirate Wocky and Pirate Chomby don't have a wooden leg any more.

Kougras and Grundos have definitely used too much mascara.

My dear Mutant Kyrii has a totally different expression.

Blumaroos and Meercas have somehow lost their ability to stand and hop on their tails.

MSP Poogle?!? I'm not even going to say anything.

I am not sorry at all to quit because it's not the same game.

Bah. Just saw the new Darigan Draik on shieboo's petpage. It grew wings. Just to fit in that damn template. I'd rather just keep her Mutant now, because that didn't change!

I just saw the Darigan Draik too. I was saving to turn my lab pet into one. I don't really know what to think, I also would rather have it not have the wings. It's horns look rather awkward too. I'll still save up for it though, it isn't too bad and better than any alternatives at this stage.

Looking around I see a few of the pets I was going to save up for aren't really worth saving up for now. For example the Grey Ixi doesn't retain any of it's original charm. The Royalgirl Krawk too... The Royalgirl Zafara is catching my interest though.
