TDMBGPOP avatar
So a new avatar has been released:
How sad! Anyway, no one has it yet - I have a feeling it's random when you visit the Plushie. The cost of Blue Grundo Plushies has skyrocketed but the avatar doesn't seem to require the item. I'm glad there's finally a new, non-game plushie!

I hope that isn't because they know it requires an item and are working on buying up dozens of that item before the secret's out. I'd much rather them just taunting us

Here is the link to one of the threads about it, while it lasts. I don't have the patience to read through the whole thing but as far as I can tell, he's still not sharing.

From SunnyNeo:
Grundo - Discarded Plushie Avatar
The new avatar has been spotted! It seems that it is awarded randomly when visiting The Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity. Your pet(s) should be sad when visiting, and if the Grundo makes your pet happy, you may be awarded the avatar.

Why would a sad, discarded plushie make my pet happy?

It has such a pathetic, worthless existence that in comparison your pet's troubles aren't nearly as bad?

The button is marked "Talk to the Plushie" so maybe it's just a chance to get your pet's problems off his/her chest. Why would a sad, discarded plushie make my pet happy?

Re: TDMBGPOP avatar
How can I make my pets sad? I hardly ever play with them but they just seem to be either delighted or joyful all the time.

Neopets hate to be hungry, and in my experience going days without food is very upseting (I don't normally do this, I just ignored a side account for a few days)

I don't remember the last time I put my pets in the lodge, so they've been at the dying stage for quite a while. Unfortunately, they're also at varying stages of happiness, and not sadness. :/ Any other options?

I seem to remember that pets must be active for them to register happiness changes. Is that still valid?
You can also try feeding them rotten/poisonous food so that they become sick, and if they are active I think the happiness rating goes down fairly quickly.
