Which freezing weapon should I buy?

I have around 8m np (will hit 9m if COFL cooperates later) so I've got enough to buy a freezing weapon, with a cushion left over. However, there are three* sensibly-priced once-per-battle 100% freezers:

H4000 Helmet - no icons, 7m in auctions
Freezing Potion - 2 icons, 6.8m in auctions
Magical Marbles of Mystery - 3 icons, 7.1m in auctions, 8m in Hidden Tower

Which of the three should I buy?

*I know there's a fourth, the Heavy Blue Tunic, but my pet doesn't have high enough int to use it fully, and has too low a def for the icons it defends to be worth it, so I'm leaving that one out.

The In-Depth Battlepedia may help. Personally I'd go with the Marbles. They cause damage and are 100% freezers. Sleep Ray does a bit more damage but is much more expensive. Moehog Skull is a nasty bit of work but would also likely cost a billion neopoints to get - if you could find a seller.

Congratulations on the Marbles purchase! It was my latest addition to my BD Set and I've not regretted it since. There's no substitute for a 100% Freezer. <3

Congrats! I would just have advised you to go with whatever was cheapest -- even three icons doesn't equal much extra damage (a 700-boost pet using berserk attack will just do 68 points of damage using the marbles, and 45 using the f-pot). 7 mil is a good price for any of those freezers, so you did well.
