Userlookup pet glitch

Post by dillpickleking »

You know when you are looking at other people's accounts and seeing the layout, the pets, and their trades and such, and then you look at the user's neopets and something is wrong?

Some of their pets seemed to have been "pushed" upward, as if the names of the pets are in line with top of the regular "pet box" or something, and you can't see or click on those pets, it's as if they are hidden and only their names show.

This hasn't happened to me, but I wonder what could be the cause.

Here's a link to a user's account who has this problem:

I've seen many more just like it, and wonder how to fix it.

This happened to my account about a week ago - my active pet was visible but the others were missing. From what I remember I just refreshed the page a few times and they re-appeared. I think the owner of the account might need to visit their UL or pet lookups to get the image regenerated or something?

Sometimes, what works is to do the following:
Go to the lookup
Copy the image URL for the pet - for example, the_liar is http://pets.neopets.com/cp/kgt6onnv/2/2.png
Edit the image URL so it says "cpn" instead of cp, like so: http://pets.neopets.com/cpn/kgt6onnv/2/2.png
Replace the random 8-letter code with the pet name, like so: http://pets.neopets.com/cpn/the_liar/2/2.png
Go to that URL - it should usually work and show the correct image for that pet (though will occasionally also be a broken image)
Refresh the lookup and it might have updated to show the image now.
