Actually, it mentions novas are motes in most of their item descriptions.

From the item description of Novas: A Nova is a rare magical mote . . .
From Supernovas: A Supernova is a very rare magical mote. . .

So I don't think it's just Darkest Faerie canon, and while you could always hope the folks in charge of selecting gallery spotlight winners don't know their motes, it might be a good idea to give Tiel's suggestion, or something similar, a whirl. ^^

Update: I decided to omit the nova bit, in hopes that the general Neopian public won't notice.
I do need help with the layout. I know that I could make a nice one if I really tried (I know a fair amount of HTML/CSS).
I'm just not good with the colors, graphics, etc.
I did make a cursor of an electric mote! Yay for me!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
