I did see a petpage that confirmed that this works-- they labbed a royal poogle back and forth three times. But on my recent lab rat, I've had two color changes and a species change with no gender changes, so it would be for sure a risky endeavor.

Someone here has an avatar with the mechanical wings put on a UC Darigan Draik, and I'd definitely actually fork over some cash to get that. It looks awesome.

[Edit: Just went to the mall to see... And I can actually fit any wings in the mall on Zolais, my Darigan Draik. That's... Really cool. Now to figure out if they'll work in the real closet.]

And can you imagine if you could buy an item that made your pet UC (but probably not through trades)? I'd buy that from the NC Mall no problem.

I think TNT just thinks it's too late. Allowing pets to be unconverted would infuriate the masses who traded their legs for them. I'd personally find a nice poetic justice in that, but I'm guessing TNT doesn't want to step on more toes than needed.

Regarding your original dilemma, I think you should trade for a UC that you really want. I remember people trading DN Maraquan Draiks for WN UC Royals in the beginning when trading was just allowed and now WN UC Royals are practically priceless. The value of UCs just keeps going up. Dx

I was personally offered a UC MSP for a UC Royal of mine, so try to get an UC, while you still can, as less and less people are accepting converted pets for UC ones.

At least you all are in consensus. :D I've been looking around and have some decent interest, which is nice. Customs definitely seem to attract more people than hatched draiks, so good advice there. I've also had people ask if I'd sell the egg and do a pirate custom instead, which could end up happening. At anyrate, I'll probably end up with something I like more than even a basic draik, so it'll all work out in the end. ^_^
