My mutant kougra orphanscall
Was thinking about entering this into a beauty contest or something but I wanted to take some suggestions before I did.
I'm not great at backgrounds so I left it blank.
Any ideas/suggestions/comments?

I actually like the shading, but yeah the knees are way too big/ they go out too far.

I think "fix the legs" is kind of vague; it's actually quite an interesting style you have there. Weird, but it suits, because it's a mutant.

The biggest way to improve it, I think, would be to add a background.

The knees thing is actually kinda my style. It's a habit of mine.
I guess the bg is the best way, but what should I stick back there?

I can never think of a good setting :P

Something Haunted Woods-esque, perhaps? I just looked at the picture and I could totally see something like that... The picture in general looks, for some odd reason, very werewolf-y...."You just stumbled upon my lair, now I'll have to turn you!" sort of thing.

The knees might be just like your style, but they are not anatomically correct and that's in my own opinion, the greater mistake. Not only about this picture but generally speaking, you really should look at some anatomy books or maybe at someone's else art. Never copy but you can get some ideas.

Stay well.
