Casting Call for Neovision!

Post by Illuen »

Hey all! I'm doing a Neovision animation, but I need some voice actors (two, to be precise EDIT: I only need one now!), so I decided to hold a little thingie here, to see if anyone is willing/able to help me out.

If you end up being what I need for my movie, and if my movie ends up getting chosen for Neovision, I'll give you my prize money (10,000 neopoints).

basically, all I need you to do is read the following lines into a computer microphone to save as any type of audio file. Then upload that file on a site such as yousendit, and PM/post the link. I'll listen to it, and get in contact with the people that I think would work best for what I need. And please, if you're even the least bit interested in doing this, please comment on this thread as soon as you can, just so I know whether or not to expect anything =P.

The following lines are what I want read:

"Bring Me Peter Pan!"

"Grapes are fun!"

"No, not my beloved Peasant village!"

"I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!"

"Well, aren't you the cutest ickle baby in the world?"

As well, if you can, please perform an evil laugh.

Thanks so much for your time!

Do you need female or male voices actors?

And, what kind of intonations do you want for these sound samplings?

I'll give it a try, if I can, and if my french accent doesn't scare you. I'm won several voices random contests, so, I'm not bugged with being mocked for my voice.

Iggy, it doesn't matter. Both characters are gender neutral to a point, so I can take either. I am more concerned with finding the right people for the parts.

As for intonations, the reason I gave vague lines (which are NOT part of my final script, I should point out) is so that I can see a range of a person's voice, and how they interpret the lines.

That being said, I'd love for you to enter, and I'm not afraid of accents; with Neocolours being as wide as it is, there is a large chance we'll have a wide range of accents.

Hilarious, that must have been fun! The evil laugh on the babyvoice file was THE best.

I love how you said "I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!" in the first wav file. It sounds like something from Monty Python movie *approves*

I thought the "cutest ickle baby" quote sounded more Monty Python to me. :D

Ya know, when they all dress like women. They rock.
Only real men wear dresses. :P

Just thought I should let you know, I played your evil baby laugh for my family. My little sis thought it sounded exactly like Eezma (sp?) in the Emporer's New Groove when she was a kitty.
