Turethir's Artwork

Post by Turethir »

Hi all,

Bit nervous about joining but decided to sign up since you all seem nice and friendly here :)

I am primarily an oekaki realism artist, and I go under the name "Yayster" on deviantART. I work with a mouse and PaintBBS, and for my non-oekaki works, a mouse and Photoshop Elements 2.0. Here's some of my stuff; I really hope you enjoy it!

Oekaki Realisms

Last Crusade (Indiana Jones)
Chandler from Friends
Blue and Yellow Macaw
Grey Wolves
Peregrine Falcon

(there are also a couple more in my gallery but these are my favourites)

Others

Legends of the Pokémon World
Legends of Sinnoh
Pokémon Starter Evolutions, Kanto-Hoenn
Pokémon: Red Dwarf Version
The Last Unicorn
Haku's Flight (oekaki, old)

Wow, those are amazing! I had to look at the full views of the realistic art before I could tell they weren't photographs. I love the falcon one.

Wow, they are incredible! I looked at the first one and thought 'that's just a photograph', so I had to view it in full. They are incredibly detailed and look truly amazing - good stuff!

Those are absolutely gorgeous! I honestly throught that the Indiana Jones one was a bunch of photos that you put together - but when I looked at the big version, I realized it was hand-painted. Just WOW.

The animals are fabulous as well - the fur on the wolves looks as if you could reach out and run your fingers through it. Brilliant, brilliant work! I am in awe!

 Wow. The realistic ones are just gorgeous. It took me lots of time to see they weren't photographs. I also loves the pictures of Pokémons.

Hey, I recognise you from SROA! I've adored your realism ever since you started drawing there...and you do plan to finish the Friends series, don't you :)

Thanks guys! :D

dandelions - yeah I do plan on finishing them ^^ I just gotta find a period of time where I can sit down and draw them straight through, as I don't like to safety save at all.

That is like the best realism oekaki I have ever seen. (ok it's the first I have ever seen, but that doesn't matter) I just think those look really good. The Macaw is my favourite and Chandler is pretty good too (heck, they all are).

The Pokémon are pretty damn awesome too, almost looks like official art to me. Just wow.

As you can probably tell I don't know anything about art, but I know what I like and I like these.

I saw your post this morning, right after Cranberry commented, but I had to rush out the door, so I couldn't say anything. But wow. I mean, really, that's all I can say. I'm amazed by the quality of your photo-realistic pictures. The insides of the wolves' ears are amazing. I can't believe how life-like they look...
