Ans as an aside, this whole piece was done in photoshop on my shiny new Cintiq! It sure makes painting a lot faster and more fun!

Gawd, Elzaim, that's beautiful. I'm getting chills just looking at it. I love how you painted the snow (if that's what it is; I wasn't really clear what it was supposed to be in the movie, either), and her expression is mesmerizing.

Mayhem, yes this painting was inspired from the movie, 'Memoirs of a Geisha'. I was able to find a screen shot of that pose and painted it by hand from there.

And thanks Officer 1BDI! I think it's snow as well - and it took me at least a half hour to paint it! Seriously, I hand-dotted every piece of that snow!
