Neocolours

Thought I'd create a separate thread for these. Any time I feel like drawing a Subeta pet I'll post it here XD Bear in mind I only have a mouse, not a tablet, so it's kinda hard for me to get some of the effects tablet artists do ^^;

Anyway, here's my interpretation of a Glacier Hikei (yes, I did take liberty with the pet's design, lol!)



Any suggestions for any future pets would be most welcomed - these are really fun to draw ^^

Wonderful work, though I think the Hikei's head is a little small, maybe you could darken the patterns on it as well? They're a little hard to see and the Hikei has quite bold patterns normally, maybe make the head a little bigger and darker patterns? I really do love your artwork!

This is a bit... old now I guess, but as a critique on the hikei one - you made the tails coming out of the butt ^_^; Tails are an extension of the spine, and should come out of the back, not out of the butt xD

the Tigrean looks Awesome with a capital A! His right arm/my left looks a bit short to me, but that's just perspective I guess.

Still...very very nice ^^

Jessibean - omg, I can't believe I didn't notice that XDDD I've never done that before and am usually alright at drawing tails - so thanks for pointing it out! *slaps self* XD

I love how the rainbows are coming off of the crystals! That's awesome. And prismatic eyebrows, lol.

If you added a touch of color to the paws somehow, I'd think it was perfect. :D

Wow, that's great! I love the Spectrum spots, and the spikes on its back are gorgeous. The whole thing look very happy ^^ which is good for a Spectrum pet. My only complaint would be maybe the head should be a tiny bit bigger, but I'm no anatomy expert so it might be right as is xP

The spectrum celinox is nice, but I think it looks... toothless? Like with its mouth open, you should be able to see more teeth - it is kind of a big carnivorous kitty thing, after all. I like the larger version more, because it seems to take up a lot more of the white space - when resized, it looks a little empty. But the colors are very nice!

Mayhem: Strange that you mention that, I did actually try a version with paint splodges but I thought it looked a little too busy. But I will try it again, maybe I could try less and see if it works that way

Jessibean: There are teeth there, but they're kinda small, you're right XD None of the Celinox pics had teeth references apart from Hydrus with huge fangs, so I wasn't really sure what its teeth were supposed to look like. But still, crit taken on board - thank you!!
