I'm working on a picture of my Faerie Peophin, I've got a sketch, but I need some anatomy help,
Especially on the legs, I just can't get them to look right. A redline would be especially useful, but any help would be appreciated ^^

I'm not much use when it comes to redlines, but I can tell you that one reason the legs don't look right to you is that equine forelimbs don't generally bend like that. They don't have joints like our shoulders or our elbows in their forelimbs--they're actually metacarpals that have evolved to be really long. (That is--they're hand bones, not arm bones.)

Oh I see, yeah, I just copied them off my dog, because he crosses his legs like that all the time. I'll have to rethink the positioning of the legs then, thanks for your help Ty!
EDIT:
Here's the finished picture in case you'd like to see it

I hate joo. And you pretty horsey too.
Just kidding. The coloring is very very nice. Unfairly so. The legs look to be in a better position now, but they look too short to be proportional for a horse that big. Well, half a horse. Fjorab would know more than I.

Yeah, I think the legs could do to be a bit longer and maybe a bit stockier as well, but its not all that noticeable. And holy crap pretty peophin!!!
Wanna donate towards my drink gallery, the Golden Goblet.

Thanks for the feedback guys ^^ yeah, looking at it now I can see the legs are too short, I think I should have made them longer in the middle section... above the ankles... below the elbow (doesn't know the names of body parts xP).
And I'm glad you like the colouring, I tried something new - some gradient shading, and some smudging. And oh did I go mad with the paint splatter brush! I'm glad you like it!
EDIT: Need some more help xP
That's a sketch for my Camo Kougra. I'm absolutely terrible at drawing felines, they have no snouts - I get confused! So any help would be appreciated, especially on the face, eurg, I could not get it to look right!

Re: Anatomy help please ^^
Basic redline... sorry for the poor quality; I'm away from my scanner. For a more cartoony or childish look, you can try something like this for the face, or, if you want something a little more catlike, try bringing the eyebrow lines (for want of a better word) out from the corners of the mouth, like so. (The larger pupils are a matter of taste.) Note that I know more about cats than Kougras, but hopefully it'll help a bit!

That's extremely helpful, thank you Foghawk! The face looks a hundred times better in your edit, I like the one with the extended eyebrow lines, looks good! I'll edit here when I finish it ^^
EDIT: finally finished, not thrilled with it, but it could have been worse I guess,
(that's a ruby/necklace thing in his mouth) - he stoled it! Ommmm
Comment/critique?

Re: Anatomy help please ^^
Your coloring and lineart is so beautiful, for both pics. c:
I'm a little fuzzy on anatomy myself, but I guess one comment for both pics...It seems like certain parts of the body are drawn un-proportionately to other parts of the body.
In the Peophin pic, for example, it's already been stated that the legs are a bit too small. (It still looks absoultely amazing on-the-whole, though! Beautiful.)
For your Kougra, I think that the front half came out a bit larger than the bottom half. This might be because you sloped the back into the leg a bit too sharply. I personally think it looked more proportionately accurate in your sketch. However, as I've said before, even with these small points of interest...your artwork is beautiful. c:
I really don't know how to express it, but...I am definitely very in love with your lines and coloring. The coloring is so smooth and clean, especially with that gorgeous shading, and you really know how to make the finished piece look vibrant. I like the paint splatters on the Peo and the markings on the Koug's face, too.
Also, great use of interesting poses, even if you're still working out anatomical details. I really love your artwork! c:
