Subeta pet artwork
I've been practicing some Subeta style artwork, and I have much to learn, so I was wondering if you guys could give me some crit? Be as harsh as you like because I really want to improve, and I know a lot of you are very good artists.
So here's my Glacier Hipposaru,
and Reborn Cadogre,
Yeah, so any comment you can give will be much appreciated ^^ I'll probably be doing some more too, so if you'd like to request a pet for me to try drawing then please do ^^

They look pretty good, but it seems like the lineart looks off - too thin or pixely or something, I can't tell exactally what, and I think you need more highlights, especially on the reborn cadogre, as it looks quite flat to me. Also on the cadogre the anatomy looks a little off.
The hipposaru is really cute =3
The wings look gorgeous, but once again, I think the lineart is too thin
Maybe try drawing a bloodred ruffie? XD I love bloodred pets, and I love ruffies, and maybe working with black and red will give you a good chance to try with better highlights, since white is hard to highlight? =P
They do look good though, with some practice they could look great ^^
( I tried posting this when I wasn't logged in, I hope it doesn't double post it later or something) :C

Re: Subeta pet artwork
I like the idea and the pose of the hipposauru, as well as the ice bits. The main problem I have with it is that it is very gray, the base should actually be white to be consistent with the other glacier pets. Also, the lines on the markings are too dark, it kind of eclipses the marking color in my opinion.
The cadogre is also nice, though the pose looks a little static for my taste. The biggest thing that would improve it though would be to add highlights to make it look more metalic looking..
As far as requests go, maybe a nightmare paralix?

I love the snarling expression, the lineart is very clean as well. I also like the way you've done the shading. What you've done with the wing on the tail is awesome
I still think the lineart is a bit thin for Subeta-style. I also think the face looks a little wide and "chubby", which makes it difficult to distinguish that it's an Archan.
I do like this though, and you are most certainly a talented artist

ooh Rachel, I think that looks awesome xD I love how you did the expression! my only complaint is the mouth I think is just a bit too wide. It looks like he'd break his jaw. Maybe that's the point xD It's also a bit snake-like, but I think it makes for a neat idea here :3

Re: Subeta pet artwork
Google hippo yawn photos--it could be wider, in fact. ^_~
I love blood spatters. Especially around the mouth... scary.

Awesome, looks great! The Hipposaru needs some love. XD The lineart looks much better here too in terms of width!
