That asymmetrical necklace is really, really cool and interesting. I'm also a big fan of all the rings; that kind of wirework intrigues me.

Thanks! Almost everyone who's seen that asynnetrical necklace on has said that they really like it. I'm glad, because I tried something really differernt and didn't know if I'd pulled it off, but it looks like I did. :)

And I love making those rings! They're so fun to make, and all the swirls and filigree really make the rings pop.

Thanks again!

Nice wirework! I've never managed to get the hang of it- I guess I haven't tried too hard, because I like my beads, and the smaller the better: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/ ... Jan002.jpg

Unfortunately, I fail at taking individual photos of things I have made, and jewellery is hard to photograph. Also, this is your topic and I won't hijack it with pictures of my stuff.

Asymmetry is something I can't do and have never been able to get along with- I think it's very brave to attempt it. I always find it very restless to look at, but then that also means the piece is more dynamic than a symmetrical one would be.

Those rings are really cool. Have you ever thought about selling them through http://www.etsy.com It's sort of like ebay for handmade items.

Re: Hand-made jewelry! - New rings!!

Post by Elzaim »

I probably will sign up for Etsy and try to sell some stuff there. :) A few of my firends have mentioned it to me already. :)

I made seven more rings last night at my monthly bead meetup. Here they are! I've decided to take comissions as well if anyone is interested. At the moment I can only make rings between 5-7 in size since I don't have a mandrel yet - but I'll be getting one soon, especially if I can start selling a bunch of these rings. :) If you do want one, PM me and we can discuss size, style, color and cost. I'll even throw in free shipping!

More rings!!

Those rings are soooo pretty! About how big are the beads in them?

I love the pearl one. Is there any way you could put a coin or something next to the beads so we can have perspective? I'd totally buy one if you sold them :D

I've had a few people ask bout the bead size sooo:

The single-bead rings (the pink, red and purple/blue) are quite small and dainty. The beads themselves are only about 4mm in circumfrence, and I have one in the pink that I made for myself to wear, and It looks realy nice on my 'ring' finger - not too big, yet not too small either. The bigger ones (smokey gray/blue, green and blue oval) are about 6-8mm in size. The pearls are 4 mm and the smaller ones are 3mm I think.

Potlover - ask and you shal recieve! Here are pictures that will hopefully help show the size and look of the rings better!

Thanks so much, I am still liking that pearl one (I think it's called Baby Blues on deviant art) Unfortunately I wear between an 8 and a 9 so I guess I'll have to wait until you can make rings that size

I'd really like to get a mandrel soon - so as soon as I get one, I'll let you know! I should be able to get the same beads to make an identical one :)
