New loyal user perk

Post by Madge »

TNT says they've released a new loyal user perk, but haven't said what it is. Anyone have any ideas?

The boards haven't found anything as of yet, but apparently SOMEONE has found it already.

Has a list of stuff that's been tried. Not sure if it's the biggest list but at least it's a start.

JellyNeo has the details:

Basically, it's a shop in Neovia with random items, some of which may be of a high rarity/value. Access is reported to be limited to accounts older than 3 years.

I want an Aisha that looks like the shopkeeper SO badly.

It's nice, and hey it's a perk. Is it wrong to feel deflated though? So many things I had hoped for, a more "exclusive" garage sale wasn't really on the list.

Ah well, the last perk we got was made of win, so I suppose this just evens it back out again and hope they get in the perky mood again and come back up with another one made of win.

Nice idea, but has anyone actually seen any items in there? :P I've refreshed a couple of times and seen absolutely nothing.

Reports have shown that items such as Lost Desert Draik Eggs have stocked (for 700k each) as well as other high value items such as morphing potions.

Apparently there's a limit to 10 items per day but it doesn't seem that you can get RS banned from refreshing too much. Hooray!

(Obviously there are a TON of people refreshing over and over in this shop at the moment so don't be surprised if you can't catch anything!)

If it does stock things like draik eggs, it's an awesome way to add some more into the economy, but in a limited fashion. Win! I'll have to bookmark it and refresh on occasion.

I think that I would have liked it if restocks were more frequent. This is nice for a very lucky few, but in no way would this adjust the economy, nor benefit the majority of loyal users.

It's pretty depressing the way the people on the Neoboards are reacting to this. I think we seriously need to get some Neopian Economy 101 classes going. Assumptions I've seen include:

- The ability to get something is the same as definitely getting it. (I have the "ability" to be given a paintbrush by Jacko, too, but it's never happened.)
- The existence of a Draik Egg occasionally in a restock means that the shop is basically wall-to-wall Draik Eggs. (Merifoods, anyone...?)
- People buying rare items are going to sit on them and/or give them exclusively to other veterans rather than selling them and thus deflating them (you what?)
- You can be a "passionate Neopian" at six months and still believe you won't be on the site in two and a half years without horrible cognitive dissonance.
