That's new levels of lazy updating.

Haha, I'm guessing (!) that the new image wasn't uploaded yet. Quite amusing - I didn't catch it myself because I don't tend to read, just skim. Whoops :)

Wait a minute - when i saw it earlier, it was a REALLY detailed new shopkeeper image. What happened?

I am amused, though. :-)

They seem to have sneaked this one in under the radar at some point:

You could never afford any of these!

I'm... not so keen. There's something a bit weird about the graphics (in particular, it looks like Fyora has talcum powder on her face, assuming that's not just my computer) and Fyora looks young. I know Faeries have very long lives, but I always assumed Fyora was supposed to be a mature woman in Faerie terms, being the Queen and all. This version looks like a playful young thing about my age, and I find it disconcerting.

Also, I recognise the Nova wand and battle duck, but what's the veil thing Fyora is holding? There've never been any clothes in the HT, have there?

I'm pretty sure she's holding part of her dress, since you can see part of the thin veil coming from under the dress.

I definitely never thought Fyora looked 'old', even middle-aged, but just a bit wiser than the rest of the faeries, and... I think that personally came across really well here. I think she looks lovely.

The Super Icy ...shop thing has actually gotten its updated art now.

I wish... I could tell what was going on with it better.

Um, isn't that image the exact same as the one posted upthread? (Yes, I CTRL-refreshed.)

Yeah, even in another browser I'm just getting a fairly wide version of the ordinary image (the normal shopkeeper pasted in the middle of a white area the size of the new banner-style shopkeepers). If some people can see it, can you screenshot it?

I'm a little weirded out that it looks like Fyora is holding part of her dress up as I walk in the door XD But otherwise, it's an alright revamp, my hatred of highlights on skin is turning me off to it though

As for the Super Happy Ice Lenny, um, I agree with Jessi, what is exactly going on there?

*looks at screenshot*

Anyone else think the Lenny looks like that one sponsor mascot they had a couple of years ago? The bird that rode the lift and got spirals in his eyes? Maybe that's just me.

What I think is happening in the image: the Lenny has seen a customer (a customer wanting ice cream in the middle of a blizzard, no less), has grabbed every sample and bargain he can carry, and is dashing to the door to welcome him/her.

Oh, thanks Kamil, haha. I just checked this thread again and didn't realize it was still showing the old image - strange, because it's the exact link showing me the new image on my browser, but now it shows up as the old image anyway... @_@

That black lineart on the Lenny, with the lack of black lineart in the rest of the picture, is throwing me off. Yeah, it's too busy, too washed-out except for the Lenny itself.

And yeah, that's the one i saw, pretty sure of it.

I wonder if the idea is that given his business is essentially selling sand to the Arabs, he's a bit desperate to take advantage of any opportunity to sell his stuff.
