Upgrade from phpBB 2.0.19 to 2.0.20 completed

Post by Jazzy »

Full list of changes here:
http://www.phpbb.com/support/documents. ... gelog#2019

The ones which will actually be apparent to members in general:
- <img src=""> has been disabled as a security feature
- quotes in PMs are now working again
- You can search for posts by users with short usernames
- There is a flood control of 5 seconds between searches
- some fixes to the mod control panel's error handling (new mods: you do know you can use this, right? where it says "you can moderate this forum" at the bottom of the page, click through to get a list of all topics in that forum, for mass deletion/moving/etc)

Any bugs, let me know.

You can still use the bbcode img tags, and to be honest many forums have all html blocked anyway - there are suckier things =P

I'm glad quotes in PMs are working again, and ooh I have more shiney buttons. Awesome *grins*

Do you have any idea how much it sucks to have a security hole on a board? :P

It's easier to just highlight the image url and then click on the Img button anyway.

I don't like typing the BBCode for images and URLs, but I'm used to highlighting the url and clicking the Img button for it now...

The bbcode is shorter, so I've always used it. Yay for quotes working.

...bah. Are URLs with HTML out now too? Because the donation thread wiped itself...completely. No URLs there, and so now I have to go back and manually add every single person...*bangs head on wall*

I posted this to the NC LJ community but I thought I'd add it here.

When I went back to work yesterday (after being out of town for a week) I found that I can no longer log in to the forums when I'm at work. I can't be sure but given the timing it seems likely it's related to the upgrade.

Help?

I noticed something when picking through the donation thread today - HTML links work, but only if you have the quotes around the URL.

Standards.

Congrats to the four people on the list who still had their links up!

There were somewhere around 15 cookies, but deleting them worked. Thanks!
