Rainbow Bori. Rainbow Bori Morphing Potion.
Maybe it is just me, but something seems off...

Re: Neo's item art quality...
Is it bad that I like the look of the morphing potion more? The actual one seems a bit chaotic to me with both the plates and body being rainbow.
Re: Neo's item art quality...
Yeah, but the morphing potion's colours don't even match the Bori. They're off by a few shades.
Something about the design of the potion reminds me of this awesome bubblegum I used to hound my mom for as a kid. At least the wrapper anyways.
Fruit Stripe gum, anyone?
In other news, I was certain the artists were making progress after fixing the debacle of the Transparent Peophin...
...but I suppose I celebrated too early.

I also really wanted to complain about how much more I liked the older rainbow bori and decided against it because it's been 8 years and I shouldn't constantly complain about customization. But I will totally agree that the rainbow bori's coloration leaves much to be desired as well!
That fruit isn't too bad, or at least, it means they are learning about line art. I think the artists have been really bad at variable width line art, which is part of what gives it such an old, sterile feel when line art is the same precise width throughout. So they are learning, they just don't have all the skill down yet... Too much variation is just as bad as none at all.

I legitimately thought it had mange at first glance. ._. Now that I've looked it it longer I can see what they were going for, but I don't understand why they used such drab colors.
Re: Neo's item art quality...
Items for over the last couple of weeks:
I actually like this little guy.
I'll give praise when it's due. Not too shabby.
Simple and could use some more shading in places, but otherwise okay. It's a bit of progress.
And it seems we're back to more Gift items which do nothing for anyone except maybe Galleries.
I'm willing to let the candle pass--just barely--but that coconut... *sigh*
I thought it was a painted rock. Or a fish. What is with those extra lines?

Re: Neo's item art quality...
Despite some obvious misses, it looks like they're improving overall, which is also noticeable in the pet colors...I'm optimistic.
Maybe there are several artists and some of them are much better than others?

Oh gosh. That's funny. And embarrassing. At least they're only stealing from themselves this time! We know they've done worse before!
