Yay! It's a pity there's so many Darigan pets I don't like.

Kantark wrote:Out of interest, has anyone rated an Invisible pet yet, and if so what did you rate it? I've been giving them all 1 so far.
I'm doing a lot of randomizing, and for the most part, I'm totally ignoring colorfills, because, really, what is there to say about them?

Yay, another pink pet? Or, yay, another orange or brown one?

I'm making an exception for the really nicely done ones though - the spotted Koi and Uni; the electric Eyrie and Wocky; the brown Uni; the nicer rainbows; the sad ghosts - and the herpes-infested purples.

Those all get an automatic 1. I'd give them a 0 if only I could. >.<

I've rated Invisible pets a three, with a one for those that don't have a circle, since that's even worse than normal. In a way, normal Invisible do what they're supposed to do.

This is great :D

Could you maybe add an option to see- or just list- all the pets you've given a certain rating to? Or top twenty rated pets (your own ratings only), something like that? When I decide on a new pet to aim for, it'd be nice to be able to look at all the pets I've voted, say, a 10 and choose between those rather than have to make a guess at the pets I really like.

Actually, I wanted to ask a question about this. While playing around with it, I left messages in each box that said why I liked it/didn't like it, because I thought that was what you were supposwed to do, but now I realize that nobody else thinks that, apparently. Should I get rid of my comments, and just leave them on things that are really really good or really really bad?

Wow, I didn't know I wasn't the only one writing comments. *goes back to put comments back in*

I've been leaving comments too -- not on all the pets I rate, just when I have something to add. Because I know that all of you hang on my every word.

I've added a few, generally along the lines of "I would have rated this differently, but..."- normally if there's a pet with one good pose and some mediocre ones. Like the Royalboy Buzz, whose circle pose is pretty good, but the rest aren't even a redraw.

Listing further pet stats (included your highest ratings) is something I want to add in a while, but I'll need to do a bit of performance and other testing first - I'm not sure what the effect will be of constantly joining two large tables like I'm already doing, and what effect adding more of those things will have.

As for leaving comments - I've made it optional, mostly because I don't think I'll be able to keep repeating "It's Invisible. Meh." over and over again. They're not mandatory, but especially odd ratings could use them. It's up to you when you do or do not add them, but your ratings will be more valuable/interesting to others if you do leave them.

This is so awesome! I remember when this was in the works... so glad to see it finally fleshed out here! It's just great.

But, maybe this is just me... I can't find where I can see the ratings and the comments? I've checked the page where you can view the color with all it's poses (for instance, just clicking on the Darigan Yurble) but I don't see anything, not even a "there aren't any ratings for this pet yet". So I assume I'm looking in the wrong place.

Someone help me!

Maybe I should switch the toggle after all - it's not all that obvious. I want to get a bit more data in first, though, for some more testing.

You have currently rated 1855 combinations with an average rating of 4.91.

I'm done. I'm sorry it's such a low average but the massive amount of purple and invisible pets plus all the chia and usul colours brought it down I guess.
I've misclicked a few times but I can't find how to fix it.

Will you add a menu so we can see what's the highest/lowest rated colour/species in general/ for each colour/species?

....I'm logged in, but the ratings page keeps telling me that I'm not. Does the main site use a different cookie than the forums, or am I doing something wrong somehow?

Edit: Additionally, I still can't seem to make the forum retain login cookies for me, either.

Check that you're using http://www.neocolours.me.uk for addresses for both - if you visit neocolours.me.uk (without the www.) then you will indeed need another cookie.
