Introducing: Subetocolours!

Post by dandelions »

Now, this has been coming for a long time...I've just put the changes through today. In short! By April 5th, I plan to have removed all the Neopets sections of the site, so that we can better talk about Subeta. I am also considering buying subetocolours.me.uk, in order to better fit the new...style...of the site. The subeta section will also be expanded: remember, I want to hear about everything that happens on Subeta, right down to you making a couple of sP (did I get that right?) on its games.

Opinions? Remember, my decision is final! Also, apologies that I only have a subeta-themed Neocolours banner. Again, by April 5th it will be replaced with a Subetocolours one...I only hope I can fit the new name of the site into the measly 275px wide space I have to work with.

Nonsense! Is this really what we came through so many catastrophes to do? Compromising the two pet-sites has been hard enough in my opinion; Even with the "offsite games" forum, it's been kind of hard. Once the subetacolours site has been implemented, what will happen to all our *real* discussions? Note the word "real". Evidently, you have forgotten what this forum was really founded for.

Don't worry, I'm not really mad. Read again, with what I believe is called the Horowitz Trick.

I haven't forgotten! I still have the site's best interests at heart. I just think that in this day and age, where the world around us is constantly changing, we must adapt to the new world order. And if Subeta supersedes Neopets, we must acknowledge that fact!

Now, where's the signup link?

Well, I thought people would be more willing to go along with the change if I kept the "o" from Neocolours. It stands for "Other Things"- you can still talk about non-Subeta things, but Subeta things must comprise 5/6ths of all the topics on this site. As reflected in the title, with its one non-Subeta letter and five Subeta-related letters. I think that makes it nice and easy to remember; don't you agree?

You do realise you'll have to keep one Neopets board open for those of us who will never be interested in Subeta? Some people don't have any time for this site that has supposedly "superseded" the Neopets we all know and love ! Very cool though this "Subeta" variation may be, the world doesn't necessarily revolve around it. We need some time to think of a solution, I think you'll agree.

Now, Who's going to join me for a coffee in the Catacombs, and you can discuss this properly with people like me?

I've never liked coffee.

I was considering keeping one Neopets board open, but that would inevitably lead to breach of the five-sixths rule...so my decision stands.

So does this mean for us non subeta players that we are not important anymore and Neopets is nothing on this site? Please clear this up...

Modge SUPPORTS subetocolours!

NEOCOLOURS WAS THE WAY OF THE PAST.

Eorwen - Basically, Jozzy has finally come to see that Neopets is over. The problems of inflation and commercialisation run rampant, scammers abound, and you can get your account frozen for sneezing. Jozzy's actions have made me realise that I, too, need to join Subeta and leave neopets for good.

Over the next four days I'm pounding all of my pets, and giving away all my items (including a faerie PB and over one million pure neopoints). Keep an eye out!

It's not that Neopets isn't important anymore, it's just...not as important as it used to be. I suppose in theory it can come into the one-sixths rule, just about- but topics about Neopets will have to go in Chit-Chat.

And no, you cannot call me Jozzy.

Neopets over? Not while I still live.

If you think it's not as good as it used to be, that's up to you. But that doesn't give you the right to do this.
Where was the vote on this? You don't seriously think you can implement a change this big and not expect... real trouble?

If you are actually serious, tell me after 12pm and I'll take the siggy down.
