I find chibi aeaonid rather cute. Sure the head is a bit disproportional, but considering it's a plant I don't mind it much. Toned down aeanoid colour scheme is my favorite feature - very similar to that of Turmaculus one which I love.
As for kumos I didn't even recognize it was a kumos I was looking at. For some reason it doesn't hold the magic of other hydrus pets for me. Something just feels off. I can't escape the feeling of looking at a brown dog with few copy paste additions. The long back crest is very oddly placed - it doesn't follow the backbone but continues somewhere behind its head.

If you'd actually read my post properly you wouldn't need to ask the question, let alone bold it.daisybell wrote:A mystical montre plushie will set you back £30 (well, strictly speaking $60) and gets you one pet slot, a mystical donadak plushie is £50 ($100) and gets you two pet slots

My favourite Kumos designs are the DM and RB - the tall, elegant style that suits them so well. For some reason the hydrus Kumos reminds me more of a chubby montre. Also it's tail looks a little pastede on.
I do like it, despite that, I might even be tempted by it .... if it weren't for the randomly added lure on top of it's head. For some reason that thing is squicking me.
The aeanoid is adorkable but I still don't want one.

Hm, the Aeanoid is cute, but I don't really like the species in general. It's head is way huge too, that tiny neck would never support it. The Kumos is nice but kind of plain, it could use some more fins and stuff, around the paws maybe. I do love the horns and the little light on its head though. It's a good thing I don't feel like I need either of them, there's too many pets I want already.

I don't like Hydrus pets, they all end up too cluttered.
Aww, the Aenoid is so adorable and awsomely cute and lovable that I love it! It's a baby plant! With a cute little humongous head and pointy mouth! Like a Carnivine! I like it!

Haha, same. I don't like the kumos in general, though, because it's just too simple for my tastes, and the eyes freak me out. The only color I like on that pet is galactic, because its eyes aren't just blank and glossy -- it looks more alive.daisybell wrote: I get put off kumoses because of all the times a kumos pops up to tell you off on the site.
I don't like the whole not having a mouth thing. I mean, the ghostly not having eyes doesn't bother me, but the kumos without a mouth just makes the art look dated and amateur. The aenoid I like, and agree that it's mostly because it's a plant and I don't have to think about where its internal organs are.
I hate Kumos altogether, they could've been nice but since they appear so often on the site and if I miss-type a code I miss the item I was trying to RS like I missed a UB yesterday and that Chibi Kumos was looking at me, and I can't remember where but the Kumos says 'You can only go once a day, don't be greedy' and it made me mad.
No mouths?

I noticed that the Angelic Kumos never appears in those ruddy error messages. (*hugs Norse*)
As for the no mouth thing, I just thought we couldn't see the lower jaw because of the angle the Hydrus Kumos' head is at. But now that I look at my own Kumos, I realize she actually doesn't have a mouth line, either.
I still kind of like it, though. I'm not sure I can really explain "why."
EDIT: I just realized the Antlephore suffers from the same detail (or lack thereof).

The Bloodred and Chibi Kumoi[1] both have mouths, and the scribble one has ... well, a tongue, which at least implies the existence of related anatomical structures. I actually like the Kumos' lack of a visible mouth, perhaps because my reborn Kumos, Transience, never talks.
[1] From Greek. Not the official plural form, of course. 'Kumoses' is just too ugly.

I like these two. Both are pets I don't personally care for (Though the Aeanoid is always pretty awesome simply because it's a sentient carnivorous plant), but the colors are decent enough.
On the Kumos topic, I gotta say, I hate them to bits. Mostly because they’re featured on the error messages (“Oops! Wrong item restocking code!†when I’m trying to get something really rare), but also because they appear to be the Lupes of Subeta. Default one is blue (most commonly chosen Lupe color is blue), they’re both extremely plain and boring, normal one is fairly ugly while only redraws redeem it, people go insane over it simply because it’s a wolf and call it the best pet in Subeta even though it’s clearly not, and because a lot of “quad†roleplayers will choose a Kumos (closest to real wolf) and then refuse to roleplay with/attempt to kill any species except for Kumos because real wolves would never associate with a bear, cat, etc. (They're not real for crying out loud! It's a fantasy world!)

The chibi Aeanoid is kinda cute. The colouring is nice but other then that I'm not really a fan of it. I'm not really a fan of all the chibi's except for a few.
The Hydrus Kumos is nice. I like the way they did the horns and I like the markings. Other then that it really doesn't do much for me. Again I'm not a big fan of Hydrus other then a few.
I'm a fan for kumos. The popping up for when we get errors and such doesn't really bother me. **shrugs** Though I do like the redraws more then the plain colours.

"Chibi is used to describe a style of drawing a character in a highly stylized way, with stubby bodies that are about the same size as the head, much like super deformed style."
I'm just confused by some comments that the Chibi Aeanoids head is too large, or disproportional...that's generally what we try to do with Chibi pets - give them huge heads/deform them a bit!
I think some (if not most) of our Chibi pets are verging more on 'baby' though. The Chibi Ruffie is the most 'chibi' pet we have, in my opinion
