I saw the spam post that I think touched this discussion off, and I'm in EST, but I don't remember the context -- I may have been doing my morning routine on the computer at work, which would have been before six AM, not a time I necessarily expect there to be mods around.

ha, yeah I know Canada is North of the USA, which is why I concluded by saying that the lack of UK mod, for now, probably wasn't the reason actually.

Right now, I don't plan to add more mods, because I think the spam problem will lessen a bit now I'm back - Twofold, for example, 6am EST is 11am my time, so I'd probably be around. As for automated spam removal, the current methods are either heavy-handed or ineffective (we do have a couple in place), and I am really waiting for phpBB3, which I plan to install once it's out of beta testing.
