Graveyard Manchu and Graveyard Ontra Revamp

Ooh, I think I like the Manchu. The only thing I don't like it the tail position, I'm not sure where I'd rather see it, but it almost looks like it has no tail. I like the face best.

I love that the Ontra is carrying around it's tail in it's mouth, but I think that's about it. I'd like to see a few more bones I guess, something just seems a bit plain about it. I'd have liked the feet to look like it's standing, rather than looking like it's about to cock it's leg up.

Does the Manchu have a little necklace of teeth? XD yay. I really, really love the skull face, too. It has a very... Geraptiku look to it? Heh, I dunno, it kinda reminds me of the Lizark (or whatever that skull faced Geraptiku petpet is called).

Something about the Ontra's front leg looks odd, but that's probably just because the tail is covering most of it up, so it's harder to see how the leg is bent. The tail in mouth is cute... is it still cannibalism if you're eating yourself? XP

I.. i actually love the manchu .__. Not enough to get one, but WOW! If the pet looked that awesome all the time, I'd appreciate it a lot more. I take it this is Rah's work? if so, great job, Rah, it's awesome! If not.. great job whoever did it, it's awesome!

The ontra is okay, but one thing is bothering me enough that I hate the whole pet. I LOVE how it's carrying its own tail in its mouth - but the fact that there's visible bone poking out of the tail bothers me. Why? Because there's broken, skinless vertebrae coming out of its tail still attached to its body. How many bones do they think this thing has in its tail? O_o That just bothers me enough to not like the pet. Ah well.

The manchu is great - very creepy looking, but I do agree that the tail could have been better positioned. At first I thought it was a 5th arm that had been sewn on or something, then I realized it was the tail.

The ontra is ok, but I find it a bit lacking in grave-yardy style. Where are the protruding bones, gashes and dead-ness? And I'm sorry artist, but that pos is incredibly awkward. In real life, that ontra would have fallen over on it's side if it had even tried to lift BOTH of those legs on the same side. I know this is Subeta, but nature itself just does not work that way. No animal lifts both of it's paws on the same side up simultaniously because they'd be instantly off balance and fall over.

Wow, that's the first Manchu I love enough to consider getting one day. I love the face, it reminds of something out of Lion King for some reason.

The Ontra, on the other hand... I really liked the revamp overall, but GY looks weird. I can't quite tell why... But I did take quite a while to notice it was carrying its own tail. I think it might have something to do with the fact that the outline of the front right (our left) paw almost blends with the outline of the tail fin.

i really, really like the manchu. it's a bit disturbing and that's my favorite thing about it. i don't see myself running out and getting one now, but i might in the future.

it does remind me a little bit of a graveyard kora simply in a different pose with a mask on, though i can't really say why. but a graveyard kora was my first dream pet, so that's not a negative thing.

ontra: i don't like the species so i don't have anything to say really. it might be my favorite of the species, though i'm too lazy to look to compare.

My first thoughts on the manchu are that Ziggy snuck into the Subeta art staff somehow and drew it. Except for the pudgy little front paws, it's sooo her. I like the ontra too, surprisingly. The extra bones also bother me, but it's still very solid overall.

Amen. I can't stand the Manchu, but this is awesome.

Not true -- camels walk by lifting and moving both feet on one side at once. I suppose you could argue that it is true insofar as camels do not have paws as such. Otters, on the other hand, do not walk that way.

Ontra? Not as much. I can't put my finger on what I don't like, but, oh well. It's not like I have to have one.

Wow, two really great pets here, I prefer the Manchu, but they're both really good. I love the torn off face on the Manchu, and the expression like, "bet you never saw anybody eat their own face now, did you?" and I like the skull and cross on it's leg, the tail doesn't bother me too much, and I don't know where else they could have put it. I was planning on getting a Graveyard Kanis, but I may have to reconsider.

The Ontra I like, not enough to get one, but still very good. Except it's butt seems a bit high to me. Still, the tail in it's mouth is great, but I would have liked some bone or muscle sticking out of it somewhere...

My gawd! I just got Mein Teil (okay, not exactly the same thing but a similar case) out of my head, now it's never quiet here again. Darn you beautiful Ontra ;___;

The art on the Manchu is actually better in my opponion but... self-cannibalism. Seriously. There goes my savings.

I love the ears on the Manchu and the ponytail is absolutely adorable but ruff/hair just always bothers me. It's also nice that it's not the traditional crossed bones on the skull marking. The ontra is beautifully simple though I would have had loved it if he too would have had a visible back bone like the manchu. The curly whiskers are sweet too.

The Manchu is the work of Rah-mazing. :)

It's the only one of the species I like. Skulls ftw.

Manchu is awesomeness incorporated! The face reminds me of so many good thing at once (I sudenly have a wish to watch all three Indiana Jones movies in a row, visit Machu Picchu, and read ancient Donald Duck comic books). I'm quite tempted too get one. Marvelous job!

Ontra art, for some reason, feels like old art. Quite possibly because of severe lack of shading. It has nice touches here and there but I'm not all that keen on it altogether.

That is the best Manchu ever. Okay, considering how little I like them normally, that might not mean much, but I think it's fantastic. And I've been wanting to watch Indiana Jones lately! Maybe that's why I like it so much. ^_~

The Ontra is amusing, but I'm kind of bored otherwise.

Homg you guys have made me SO HAPPY. I usually am so bad at doing anything that isn't adorable and cute - but I spent so much time on horrific sites researching wounds, looking at lemur skeletons and general blood and gore and dead things, and I now I'm glad that it seems to have been worth it!

The manchu as a species is supposed to be kind of tribal, so I took influence from witchdoctors for the GY version - I think some of you have noticed that though! YAY :D
