Ell Oh Ell! Check out this weeks Lenny Conundrum....

Post by Usul_Princess »

I laughed so hard I almost cried. If I get a trophy for this, it will be my new favorite one. *gasps for air from laughing* I want to believe it's a more complicated question, but is there a LC avatar, because after this weeks question, they might retire it.

And second, I don't know if TNT has ever made me laugh like this once.

I kept looking at it, thinking there must be some kind of trick or something. Like, maybe they mean area or something like that. Nope. No other way to take it.

I can imagine it already. You win the Lenny Conundrum! You get 10 np!

I can think of two answers. One is much better than the other.

I can think of at least two possible answers to this.

I suspect the more obscure one is probably the one TNT is going for, so I went ahead and put it. I have the av and trophy already anyway. :-)

I also entered the more obscure one, though I think maybe I should've entered it in words than in numbers.

Anyone who didn't get the reference, I am ashamed, btw.

I dunno, I can think of three answers that would work. One makes the most sense to me. The second is an answer that I think a lot of people will put in by mistake, and the third I don't think is valid because while neo does love to reference pop culture, I wouldn't expect them to base an LC question directly off of it when there is absolutley no actual tie in to the site itself. Unless I'm missing something from some plot.

Maybe we'll get some subeta-esque trivia outrage. I hope so. :)

I put in what I believe to be the right answer, which is not the correct one. I just had to, to see if they're going to give a huge total of people who did.

Edit: Oh, and did you notice the prize? "A Shoyru's Guide To Neopia On A Budget". Close enough.

Also the wording is word-for-word. C'mon.

If it's the reference I'm thinking of then I know why you'd be ashamed Madge, based on past conversations we've had.

There are 2 things that the *right* number/answer represents, which is still a fairly easy answer for an LC, but now I know the answer they wanted. The "answer" they wanted is still a number. Madge is right about the question being worded as the biggest hint ever because it's a reference.

......I should've paid more attention to Andrew's weird, very stupid movie he likes so much instead of faking that I fell asleep through it. Would've won me a trophy. *grumbles* He would've kicked my ass if I told him I put in the answer everyone else impulsively put in.

I suspect it'll be "The answer to the last one was [Correct Answer]. X number of people guessed correctly, earning X Neopoints each. We would also like to thank the 5481 people who told us it was [Incorrect But "Right" Answer]. Though we can't give you a prize, you are hereby the 1337 of Neopia." Or something.

Maybe they should make a rule about never allowing "offsite" pop culture references to answers. (/bitter)

....I have this weird snobby hang up about how people who are overindulgent in mainstream pop-culture/celebrities and rap music are "beneath me". Don't ask. Not that this week's LC hardly counts as people who know the answer fit into this category. I'm just anal-retentive like that.

...Ok, so TNT just earned back a smidgen of my respect. Just a smidgen.

But I do agree with Usul_Princess: had I not come to this thread I don't think the reference would have hit me, at least not immediately, and the question's not really fair to the people who have never actually seen... this thing we're all talking about.

Did you see the question within minutes of it going up then? 'cos just being right doesn't get you the trophy or av. (And even if it did, there was a very easy one about pi a few weeks ago.)

Yep. You have to be one of the first X number of people to answer correctly to get the av/trophy.

You'll get it eventually if you keep at it. I think it may actually be easier to get on ones that aren't super-easy since then it's more about skill and less about happening to be on when the news goes up.
