Hydrus Torrey and Clawsion

I really REALLY love the torrey out of these two, those paws and claws are just excellent =D though
both have really good poses in my opinion. I'm not sure how I feel about how the wings/webbing
looks on the clawson but it's interesting thats for sure lol. I DO HOWEVER love the toes for some
reason :3 Both look suitably pissed off as well so i'm happy.

I still am not use to how short the muzzle is on the clawson but oh well. Overall I think these are pretty solid hydrus pets c:

I absolutely am in LOVE with the Torrey. <3 I am determined to get it somehow (when I get more slots). The pose, the expression....fantastic. Who draws the Torries?

The Clawison is fine, and I like the wing like things on the back.

These are both very nice! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about either of them. I like the Torrey's expression and pose. The horns are beautifully drawn, as are the paws. The Clawsion has a very nice pose, and I love the wing fins on its back.

Overall these are some really great Hydrus pets!

The Torrey suffers from what I like to call undershading (catchy title, eh?). The horns look fantastic, but everything else as far as shading goes is the bare minimum. But, on a lighter note, the pose, expression, etc has been executed properly. The claws and paws look realistic and believable, the amount of webbing is perfect, and the eyes and facial expression are very Hydrus-fitting. Not a pet I'd own though.

The Clawsion is very pretty. I think there should have been claws added to it's toesies and the webbing on it's left front leg is deceiving (it almost seems to blend in so well that it looks like it's the actual belly), but other than that, it's a really nice Clawsion. I love the devious look in it's eyes (mwhuahaha...). I love the colours, especially the ears. And I love the detail in the horns. All in all, a good Hydrus pet.

Wow, I just remembered why hydrus tends to be my favorite color after glacier. I've been pretty disappointed by almost all of the recent hydrus pets, but I love both of these. They have awesome expressions--I love the clawsion's wrinkled nose and the torrey's snarl.

It's weird that this is a torrey that I actually like. It's so fluffy and scrappy and I love the paws and claws and spiral horns and Dr. Seuss feet. I'm not sure if it's too bipedal to fit on my account, but I am rather tempted to come up with something that would work...

And I lovelovelove the clawsion's face. The hair! The scrunched nose and narrowed eyes! The big ears. The teeth. The gorgeous blue swirls, especially the one on the head. The only part I'm not sure about is the the webbing between the legs -- I don't know why this is suddenly showing up on a bunch of hydrus pets -- but I don't mind it nearly as much as on the velosotor. It's so CUTE and fierce and I sort of want one of these, too. Or I want someone I know to get one, so I can stare at it.

Augh. I get my second loyalty box in a couple weeks and before today I was absolutely sure I was going to use the pet slot totem to get a Hydrus Aeanoid. I bought the seed already and everything. Now I'm not so sure because I love both of these SO MUCH.

The Clawsion is the first pet since the Glacier Irion to get a "whooooa must own now!" response from me. I love the spines and fins on the legs, and the little toes, and the curly horns and... everything. I think the back "spines" are so neat. I picture the Clawsion being able to control them like tentacles, using them to reach out at whatever it's looking at to its left. The eyes are pretty and the swirly bits are pretty and I LOVE THE WHOLE PET AND WANT IT RIGHT NOW. My Aeanoid might have to wait.

That said, I love the Torrey too! The pose is great, the snarl is great, the claws are great, and the furry sausage feet remain adorable. I think I'd like it better without the blue swirlies on the tail but I'm probably in the minority wishing that. I can definitely see myself getting one eventually, but maybe not before the amazing Clawsion.

Is the same artist responsible for these two pets? After a full month of Hydrus pets I'm really impressed by how inspired these two seem. The artist(s?) didn't just resort to making an angry brown pet with some swirlies and a backfin. These are both really, really well done. It's very clear some artists like drawing Hydrus pets more than others and I think the artist responsible for these two must be a fan of the colour. If not, he or she is an excellent faker.

I love both of these! The posing for both is just fantastic. The torrey looks so fierce, and the clawsion very confrontational. The fin wings on the clawsion are very cool, too. I didn't even notice the webbing between its legs. I dunno why it's there, but it looks much less obstructive than the velosotor's, so I can't complain. Also, its face is adorable.

Holy shit I adore that Torrey and really really want one, but it doesn't match any of my pets and not sure I could work with it. I've loved the Torrey's since their revamp and I'm happy that a new color is coming out for them! I thought the Torrey artist had forgotten about them honestly :( Yay Torreys! Everything just flows so nicely on this one, even the rather spindly but deadly claws. I do get another Loyalty box soon.....

The Clawison is lovely as well. I can't really see myself ever owning a Clawison, but this is a nice representation of the species. The fins are kind of odd and I can't quite figure out what they are doing though. I love the stance though. I hadn't even noticed the leg webbing before until it was pointed out here, heh.

For some reason, I love the Clawsion. If they screw up the Hydrus Aerie, Monsoon might be changed into the Hydrus Clawsion, instead.

Wow! The torrey is so cool looking! I have no complaints about it. Everything looks good. I love that the wings were made into dorsel like fins, such a nice touch. The marking placements is so nice, the look is so feirce and the horns are wicked. This makes me excited to see more torrey redraws! And I never thought I'd like a torrey. Great job artist!

The clawsion is quiet nice too. The fin wings are nice as are the markings. The horns on it are also wicked looking. My only complaint is how the muzzle looks flat. But the more I look at it, the more I grow use to it so it's really a small complaint.
